Raylan- It is not how people perceive that Trump will do his job but rather how he actually performs that is important. The people polled do not have a clue as to how Trump will discharge his duties. These ratings mean nothing and Obama's rating proves it beyond the shadow of a doubt. In a country of 330 million people who gives a damn about what some 1100 people think ? Good Luck America !!!

And yet Gallup admits " The lower percentage of Americans with no opinion of Trump could be attributable to changes in news coverage over the years, as well as the possibility that increased political polarization results in Americans answering more reflexively today based on their partisanship. Changes in survey methods, such as the shift from in-person to telephone surveys after Ronald Reagan, could also be a factor."
Trump earned 90% approval from Republicans and Majorities of whites and those aged 65 and older approved of Trump's performance

But, the real surprise comes at the bottom of the article: "Of particular interest given the women's marches on Saturday, women tilt against Trump, although not heavily. Just under half, 49%, disapproved while 42% approved. Attitudes are reversed among men, with 48% approving and 41% disapproving."

So, what does the poll really say? The majority of Americans, being white, approve of President Trump, while illegals and minorities hate him.... and he is gaining women approval.

I do not expect this trend to change, if at all during the next four years. There will be illegals deported and this will aggravate some minorities. The Act, renamed from Obamacare, will be phased out, so those who expect the working to pay for their medical care will be angered. The Federal employees will hate him, because if their job is unnecessary, they will lose their 9/5 job where many just sit and complain (I know, I was a Federal employee). Muslims will despise him because many will be returning to their rightful homes in the ME, but the vast majority of Americans will love him.

I have never liked him. Never watched his TV show, couldn't stand the guy. But I like what he is doing now. As long as he abides by the Constitution, and turns our military loose on those sand rats I'll be happy.

I think that it is much too early to rate his job performance and I think that much of the media and polls are underestimating him. However, I like you did not watch is reality TV shows.... a waste of my time. He has already turned Mad Dog loose with marching orders, so we will see how fast ISIS goes to ground or they may even abandon their quest to kill everyone in the world. Only time will tell, and I am more than willing to give him an opportunity to prove himself.

I shall try to add a bit of objectivity to the continual outpouring of biased emotionalism. It is too early for anyone to make a judgment about Trump's job performance. It is too early for people to be protesting when he really has not done anything much. The situation is that there are those who will blindly support whatever he does just as there are those who will blindly oppose anything he does.. Trump's problem is that he did not win because of a wide spread support of him. He won because there was so much opposition to Hillary. That does not give him the same "honeymoon" period other Presidents have had. If he does not deliver on his promises things will go downhill for him real fast.
