Whatever they do, try not to hurt trumps feelings..

Donald Trump’s job creation claims aren’t necessarily as overinflated as is his involvement, says NBC News.

“Companies eager to avoid becoming the target of the next attack by President-elect Donald Trump are preemptively — or retroactively — announcing U.S. job creation plans,” NBC found. “But peel back a layer and the promises come with some caveats. A company’s plan to increase capital expenditures, which include jobs and facility improvements, are typically years in the making. Some of these ‘announcements’ are old news in a new hat.”

Corporations repackaging U.S. job creating “announcements” include: GM, which promised 1,500 jobs; Wal-Mart, which promised 10,000; and Bayer, who says a proposed merger with Monsanto would keep 9,000 and add 3,000 domestic jobs.

“This is the normal course of business,” Maryann Keller, an independent auto industry consultant, told Bloomberg. “All they’re doing is announcing investments that they would have made anyway.”

“Pretty much everybody is dreading being the subject of a tweet,” Kristin Dziczek, a spokeswoman for the Center for Automotive Research, told The Guardian. “Getting hauled out into the court of public opinion with virtually no warning is not something anybody wants to get engaged with.”

Perma-I am not in a position to dispute what Ms. Keller said. However, the fact that it is being mentioned gives the people of the country, who are looking for work, renewed optimism. So, I do not care whether the investment was planned or not but I do believe they took Trump seriously on moving jobs out of the country. None of this would have happened under Hillary because she does not have a clue on how to create jobs and has never created any except her own. I hope Trump will continue to tell it like it is whether good or bad. The American people can handle the truth. We have been lied to by experts for far too long. PS. Some people at a Walmart somewhere in America are probably breathing a sigh of relief. What is wrong with Trumps' proposal to buy drugs from Canada at discounts or have Medicare/Medicaid negotiate with pharma cos. for better prices??

Rick,

I surly do not have any wish to not have American jobs.. Every single one we gain is a plus.. we could quibble about trumps role in it for now and go on all night.. but it is good and that is the fact that matters..

That idea of buying drugs from Canada has had such a history..

Back when our Gov Pawlenty was in his first term, he and the gov from Michigan and at least two other states put together a plan to do exactly that but some how a law got passed that prevented the idea and had to be dropped before it was implemented..

A few weeks ago, my girl Amy . along with Bernie... had a bill going thru congress to accomplish the same thing. But damn it was shot down with the help of about a dozen democrats.. That truly had me dismal for days.. could not believe that.. slime bags.. deserved to lose when they do thing like that.. Of course some amendment may have been attached.. But did not find an explanation..
