Winter snow chains

How to get ready for those snowy days of winter. Nothing like what you would do with your VW Bug I guess.

Have never had to use chains and that includes when I lived in Maine!

I have used them on Illinois when younger but they are outlawed now.

I never use them either but then I still love driving bumper cars from my youth.

That makes a lot of sense. When it snows or is icy stay home must be the order of the day there.

Hell the only person I even remember using them was my grandfather with two 50 lb bags of salt in the back of his Scout.

Our daughter in Wash. state who goes to Canada on the weekends to see her fiancé uses special tires that are sipped and made with wood bark substrate or something like that, She says they work great as long as your not on black ice, then all bets are off. I just drive our Expedition slower and pray a lot while watching for morons on the highway.

My folks used them on our truck when I was a kid in Minnesota.

I do wonder if that guy could hold that position doing 30 down the snow covered roads. I would pay to see that while driving the paramedic truck behind him.
