The continued disgrace of the Democrats

As Obama exits his 8 years of dismal performance, instead of offering some hope for his own party, he brings it down at every turn. The very sad part is, he doesn't even know it. Or, he doesn't care.

The pathetic final speech was just that...Pathetic.
To watch Josh Earnest in his final spokesperson speech was pathetic as well.

To oversee the destruction of the Democrat party after 8 years is a thing to behold, really. Now we will see the pardons and commutations......

But no admission of failures. It is if the Democrats think they won the country. They lost all over the political spectrum.
And Obama was a part of it all.

The reaction by the left is like a sports team that, when time runs out in the game, says, "Well, we would have won if we had more time....".....Screw them.

I hope the Republicans put the nails in the coffin on these idiots. It's a hope, and I don't know if it's going to happen.
But, for at least the next generation, put this insanity out of any life.

The legacy of Obama will be one of incompetence and immaturity. No accountability, and no ability.....No ability to govern a nation. No ability to appoint the best people to critical posts and no ability to be honest with the American people.

He failed miserably at his job. Probably because he has never had a real job......Do people ever consider this?

It's true.....He never ran a company, put his own money at risk, came up with a business plan that works....never.

And you all voted for him. Not all of you, but many. But those that did vote for him, stuck us with an albatross who is now trying to screw the new administration. So, now you want to protest Donald Trump...call him "Not My President.."
You reap what you sow........

Raylan,

The poll you reference has two inferences......One, it's a faulty poll taking only Obama supporters, or Two, it shows how disconnected people are from reality.

Take your pick.

Perhaps a bigger challenge to you is citing Obama's accomplishments.

Try to name one REAL accomplishment....That will take your time.

Raylan-damn you are a slow learner. This poll means absolutely nothing which basically equates to his legacy. He did not do much of anything for America and the lemmings polled most likely voted for Hillary. It is possible that we have that many people who are totally disconnected and to rate this non achiever at 58% one has to be uninformed, stupid or both. Maybe people are just happy he is leaving. lol Good Luck America !!!

Harp,

You and the right wing fools you dine with will choke on this but the real world acknowledges the deeds of a great man...

As the first African-American elected President of the United States, Barack Obama became a pivotal figure in American history even before his inauguration. But after winning a second term in 2012, his achievements in office have made him one of the most transformative presidents of the past hundred years. He took office with a country in peril and led it through the Great Recession, two wars, civil unrest, a rash of mass shootings, and changing cultural demographics. In the 2008 campaign he called for change and eight years later we are living in a more prosperous country because of it.

Here are 28 of President Obama’s biggest accomplishments as President of the United States.

1 – Rescued the country from the Great Recession, cutting the unemployment rate from 10% to 4.7% over six years

2 – Signed the Affordable Care Act which provided health insurance to over 20 million uninsured Americans

3 – Ended the war in Iraq

4 – Ordered for the capture and killing of Osama Bin Laden

5 – Passed the $787 billion America Recovery and Reinvestment Act to spur economic growth during the Great Recession

6 – Supported the LGBT community’s fight for marriage equality

7 – Commuted the sentences of nearly 1200 drug offenders to reverse “unjust and outdated prison sentences”

8 – Saved the U.S. auto industry

9 – Helped put the U.S. ontrack for energy independence by 2020

10 – Began the drawdown of troops in Afghanistan

11 – Signed the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals allowing as many as 5 million people living in the U.S. illegally to avoid deportation and receive work permits

12 –Signed the Dodd-Frank Wall Street Reform and Consumer Protection Act to re-regulate the financial sector

13 – Dropped the veteran homeless rate by 50 percent

14 – Reversed Bush-era torture policies

15 – Began the process of normalizing relations with Cuba

16 – Increased Department of Veteran Affairs funding

17 – Signed the Credit Card Accountability, Responsibility, and Disclosure Act

18 – Boosted fuel efficiency standards for cars

19 – Improved school nutrition with the Healthy Hunger-Free Kids Act

20 – Repealed the military’s “Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell” policy

21 – Signed the Hate Crimes Prevention Act, making it a federal crime to assault anyone based on sexual or gender identification

22 – Helped negotiate the landmark Iran Nuclear Deal

23 – He signed the Lilly Ledbetter Fair Pay Act to combat pay discrimination against women

24 – Nominated Sonia Sotomayor to the Supreme Court, making her the first Hispanic ever to serve as a justice

25 – Supported veterans through a $78 billion tuition assistance GI bill

26 – Won the Nobel Peace Prize in 2009 “for his extraordinary efforts to strengthen international diplomacy and cooperation between peoples”

27 – Launched My Brother’s Keeper, a White House initiative designed to help young minorities achieve their full potential

28 – Expanded embryonic stem cell research leading to groundbreaking work in areas including spinal injury treatment and cancer

I'll just go with this one Permi. 787 billion spent for 'shovel ready' jobs that turned out to be 'not so shovel ready'. Where did it go? With the amount of money spent on 'stimulus' for infrastucture, there shouldn't be a pothole anywhere in America.

Let's talk about # 19 too.

Schools across the country are throwing away tons, yes, TONS with a T of food because the kids won't eat it. How is this good? Aren't there starving kids in Africa who would love to have it?

Obama is an abject failure to this great nation, and the world.

Answer for both of these Archie,

Those jobs that are so ridiculed by the GOP are still going on and accomplishing what they were intended to do.. They are long term and could not start in a rush.. To call them "shovel ready" was foolish.. The money was well spent..

All that food that kids do not like... Should we have provided junk food and forget about nutrition and health needs? Should the first lady be held accounteble for parents who did not accept that children need balanced nutrition.. Yes, those off shore kids would have grabbed it in a second..
