A Classic Example Of 'Fake News'

It's a sad fact that a lie will travel halfway around the world before the truth even gets it's shoes on. Whoever said that should get a medal or something. There's a fake news story going around about how Michelle Obama has somehow managed to get Congress to give her mother a $160,000 a year pension for the service of babysitting her two granddaughters whilst living at the White House. I read that and my internal BS meter flew off the scale. As usual, it was correct in screaming 'BS' at the top of it's little lungs. Here's one of the offending articles:

Just on the face of it, this is wrong on so many levels; but because I'm more interested in getting to the truth than in scoring points in some childish name-calling game, I 'googled' it, and lo and behold:
