Rebellion of Korah
Korah was Levitical priest who wanted to make a name for himself. He and about 250 people want to form a separate group. When Moses finds out about this, he falls on his face and tells Korah that they will meet tomorrow and hash things out. The next day the sons of Eliab refuse to come and blame Moses for their wandering. (It is actually their own fault). God and Korah never spoke. When God finally appears, He tells Moses to step aside and He will kill them all. Again Moses talks God out of it. In the end the ground opens up and swallows Korah and his followers. The rebellion of Korah, (called Core), is mentioned in the 11th verse of Jude.
