Trickle down has always been a myth that only the most naive of conservative believe. In a free market system wages only go up during times of labor shortages and given the nature of the business cycle we are at full employment only for a year or two before the economy contracts. Thus any gains made are quite often lost and the cycle begins all over again to be repeated ad nauseum.
