A question to ponder;

What would health care look like if we never had insurance?

We would be paying the doctors with chickens and vegetables. Like back in the good old days.

We would have remedies on our own, instead of toxic chemicals being pushed by Big Pharma.
Look back to native America.
There are sure a lot of herbs and trees and leaves with medicinal qualities.

We would still have many affordable plans to chose from. You can always find a better deal when there is decent competition!

Will back just before insurance people either saved money
to pay the Doc or hopefully had a few extra chickens in their coop.

I understand that doctors in those ate so many hen's that they
would kill for a good steak .

It succumbs too easily to corruption. Know who you're voting for.

You are absolutely correct. Those remedies would work fine in many many cases.
In fact still today in most of Europe the first course of medical action for less severe problems
is herbal or other naturally found substances. Often times a mixture would be made
to relieve many symptoms while the body continues healing itself.

Anyone who has gone thru survival courses is made aware of regional natural remedies.

Local honey has worked wonders for me.
No more benadryl and my eyesight has become so good that I don’t even need my reading glasses most of the time.
Doctor foo fooed me when I told him that.
Reminds me of a "joke".
The doctors scribble on the RX pad and we can never read it, but the pharmacist can.
What it says is, "I got my money, now get yours".
