We don't need anothe Gore. If Trump gets beat, especially soundly he should congratulate Hillary and try to bring the country together. Do you believe Hillary would do the same?

I am positive that Mr. Trump will win the popular vote but still not be elected... it has happened 4 times in our history.... Should this happen, then many people will be upset.... and perhaps we will finally see changes made to the electoral college... in fact, the electoral college is antiquated and needs to be eliminated for many reasons, but the top most reason it eliminates the one-person, one-vote principle of democracy.

Having said this, if Mr. Trump is not elected I would expect him to put his personal feeling aside and put on a public face of accepting the outcome. When it comes down to the rubber meeting the road, we do not need a civil war over a corrupt election...but, it could happen. We will find out in less than 30 days.

He should but I doubt that he will. Trump could never admit that he lost to a woman and to make it worse her last name is Clinton. No, he will stick to the "the election is rigged" theme simply because he knows his minions will buy it.

You are willing to let democrats to steal the government? I mean, if they can steal the presidency they can just as easily steal the house and senate too. Are you telling me you cons are just going to sit there and let that happen?

And just how doe eliminating the electoral college eliminate the one person one vote rule? How do you envision it being replaced?

Peter,

I think we have a misunderstanding.

First, I think the electoral college is antiquated and needs to be eliminated in favor of one person one vote.
Second, I think that Mr. Trump WILL win the popular vote but will not get the votes of the electoral college.
A recount will only be effective in the "must have" states but even with that, there is no guarantee it will change the number of electoral college votes.

In the end, if Killary is elected I think there will be many unhappy people and the question then is, will Mr. Trump put on a happy face and congratulate her... which will be business as usual, or will he indicate that the vote was rigged and by doing so, change the entire face of America. The US is divided already, it would not take much to have another Civil War. I do not know which way this would go. I think that the democrats have us out-gunned....but they are cowards.... They will rely on the blacks of the inner city to continue their war on police and whites... will that be enough of an army for them to win such a conflict. I don't think so. Conservatives are tightly knit, regardless of color, have commonalities and will band together. We also have commonsense which is much more useful than book education... Liberals will also depend on the military, in the form of Martial Law... and that will not work, the enlisted ranks are mostly made up of conservatives who will refuse unjust orders... they will not open fire on fellow Americans.

So, in the end... it hinges on Mr. Trump.... will he support Killary or will he set the nation on fire.... could go either way.

Yes, we will find out....I'm curious why you're " positive" that he'll win the popular vote...he's behind in all the polls....but your scenario is possible....positive, is just a strong word....you have some inside info ?

I don't think Trump will do either of these things, he can never support Hillary but I believe he is a Patriot and will not deliberately foment civil war. Also the nucleus of activists required to start such action has been emasculated by the Alphabet Agencies wars against the various armed groups. The average no information voter will not even be aware of who won the election, they will just complain that their favorite TV show was cut off by that Political stuff.

Polls only reflect the opinions of those who are polled. History repeats... unless there is some massive change in our citizens.... we can pretty much tell how many will turn out to vote. Killary thinks she will take the female vote.... and Trump will take the deplorable and irredeemables... those without a PHD.... Keep in mind, only 34 percent of Americans have a college degree and of that on 28 percent of women have college degrees... and I am not talking about PHDs, just your run of the mill pay your fee get a degree bachelor degree. While only 1.68 percent of Americans over the age of 25 have a PhD. Which means, some women are deplorable and irredeemable. Killary also thinks she has cornered the market on milennials... but 26 percent of these people say they will vote for Johnson, Stein or write in Sanders. Killary thinks that blacks will vote for her. Here is the fly in the ointment, only 12.2 percent of all blacks have registered to vote and historically only 30 percent of those registered will vote. African Americans now make up 12.3% of voters and 90% of them have been voting for Democrats since the 1960s-- old habits are hard to break. Hispanics, thanks to obama's open invitation, there are 27.3 million eligible voters.... of that about 11 percent have registered to vote. 68 percent of those registered say they will most likely vote for Killary, Johnson, or Stein.... As for muslims, they are not big players this time around... next election they will move to the top of concerns.... So, taking this all in consideration, if people turn out to vote, Trump will win the popular vote.

Why will he loose the election.... population centers and how the electoral college is comprised.... Notice, I have not mentioned the voter fraud theory...

Voter Registration Statistics Data
Total number of Americans eligible to vote 218,959,000--all races and genders; male, female, and none of the above
Total number of Americans registered to vote 146,311,000

This is only my opinion based on history and current statistics. I may be very wrong and either everyone turns out to vote or many will stay at home, especially those who say they are democrats because all the polls show Killary winning by a landslide... And perhaps the Republicans will stay at home (not likely) because the polls show there is a snow balls chance in Hati that Mr Trump will win.

Very true. I think the way you do, that is Mr. Trump (if he looses, and vvotes have not been counted yet) will merely tweet out a congratulations to her. I don't think he is of the nature to encourage civil war.... but, that does not mean those who voted for him wwill not be angry enough, or try, to over through what is a corrupt system and government.
