An Evangelical Who Believes In Climate Change

An interesting, and heartening, article about a Christian scientist and her work on climate change.
Admittedly the article doesn't go too deeply, but I'm awfully glad to hear a voice like hers.

A good quote from her that we might all try to remember:

“If you begin a conversation with, ‘You’re an idiot,’ that’s the end of the conversation, too.”

The climate and land are always changing and it has since the beginning of the earth and always will. It is just that Al Gore and Barack Obama have found a way to make money on it.

Did you actually read the article, Jurban?
She makes no claim that invalidates what you say, but considers that there is too much correlation between climate change and the rise in CO2 emissions to ignore completely.

While Gore has perhaps profited through speaking engagements and book sales, I'm unclear how Obama has made money on it.
In any case, that seems irrelevant.
The fact that some Christian writers make lots of money on their books doesn't necessarily invalidate Christianity. Or does it?

True - and we have geological evidence that shows massive extinctions due to it. I guess we'll just enjoy ourselves before the end - or - we can try to use our superior human intellect and technology to change our fate. Not all extinction events were caused by asteroids ( I added that in case you didn't bother to look up any geology ).

Just because she is an evangelical and believes in what her brain tell her does not make it so. Get a 100 people to read a verse in the bible, you'll get a 100 different opinions. Al Gore has bilked 100's of millions of dollars from taxes to regurgitate his crap about climate change, and can't prove none of it. Like the clintons, tell a lie and half the jerk will believe it. If their is some way to make money off it her backers will swear it's the gospel. Global warming has been here since the beginning of the earths formation over a billion yrs. ago because it's not rotating on the same axis as when formed. Everything on earth gives off carbon dioxide, the food you eat could not grow if it didn't get carbon dioxide, trees give it off, every breath you take you exhale it, every plant give it off.
When Mt. St Helens blowed half the mountain away, a scientist 3day's afterwards on national news said that it produced 800,000 times more carbon dioxide than man has ever made. This is just one, they have 10 more in that state. what about Yellowstone's ole faithful and the ones in the same area, how much carbon dioxide do they give off. Their's over 200 volcanoes eruption's every day on earth giving off over 600,000 ton's of carbon dioxide and greenhouse gas. Our coal fired power plants don't give off 1/10 that much, it's all a money game with the greedy bastards that condemn what you got to sell their product. One thing i cannot understand is, how can a person go to church and praise to ''GOD'' , then come home and listen to the lies coming from a person that wants to be president, and support that person. Than i can't believe anything she say's, in my bible that the workings of a two faced hypocrite. One face for church, one face for her agenda--- just like the one she supports?????

As I read through a few, not at, it seems from a spiritual context to be offering up an opportunity of mankind to join together in protecting our World and doing as we can to keep it in harmony with the Creator...

I am not aware of anyone who does not support the "concept" of not keeping it clean, and doing what is right to keep it safe, clean and fruitful for many more centuries to come...

As it relates man's impact on CO2 emissions and the money makers trying to continue to capitalize on it, that is where I draw the line...

Did enjoy reading some of the concepts to spread harmony within us ..Always a positive to work within...

Thank You, Paul..Always nice to see you..
