It would also be useful to have a place for discussions about what WE think or believe, without all the links to partisan websites and crazy blogs. This might also eliminate those who refer folks to their own blogs as proof that others share their opinions. If I want a place where I can hear parrots repeat what they've been told - I watch TV.

The invite only section will weed out the nastiest deplorables and focus on actual discussion without the attacks, insults and the resulting retaliation.
Now if only admin could come up with a "Truth Only" site, OPP would be almost ideal.
Think about how refreshing it would be without the usual extreme lies.

I would agree with you on that. Giving your opinions, and then seriously considering another persons opinions is the only way to gain knowledge. In too many cases, the main board quickly devolves into cute, or often insulting, zingers.
