is it legal to shoot looters?

there was a time, maybe still is, when looters were caught at say a plane crash, looting, they could be shot.
If a man and wife saved enough money, bought a piece of land, built a small business there, was making
$60.000 @ year and some one or ones busted in their windows and door and started stealing their lively hood
would it be legal to shoot them?

If some one or ones broke in their home and started stealing things, could they then be shot?

just asking

Most likely youd go to prison for defending your property.
Loretta would call you a racist gun living bigot.

Yes, it is legal to use deadly force to protect yourself and your property, but, you will be prosecuted and convicted anyway.

After decades of appeals you might eventually overturn the decision that convicted you, but, don't hold your breath.

back in the late 60s or the early 70s baton rouge was having a protest coming from southern university.they had a mayor by the name of woody dumas he calmed a lot of frayed nerves by getting on tv and announcing that he had given orders to police to shoot looters and SHOOT TO KILL.THERE WAS ABSOLUTELY NO LOOTING.

Isn't it typical, protesting about a possible injustice done to a black person, translates into looting. I will never listen to the black plea for justice as long as they loot as part of their protest. No one will.

Trust me Dave, the right incident in Houston, Dallas, San Antonio, or Austin could be the trigger for the activists to create chaos!
There will be a high loss rate for 'protesters' who don't understand how we roll.

Works for me.

If prefer people respect the rights of others. But those that don't should get what they deserve..

There was a riot in Austin in October of 2013 and the rioters evidently understood exactly "how you roll" to your keyboard on an office chair. There was no difference in response than anywhere else in the country.

Was it Missippi Windchimes, or skinny pants wearing pussies like you who 'rioted'? Must not have been a big deal.

Not always...my Wife shot a mugger and did not spend even 20 minutes at the "cop shop" they kept her handgun for about 20 days or so and then returned it. Guess what color the dead mugger was?
