Remember when Obama toured around the country telling everyone that Obamacare was going to increase competition and lower premiums? If not, here is an example to help jog your memory (comments taken from Obama remarks delivered at Prince George's Community College on 9/26/13):

“Now, this is real simple. It’s a website where you can compare and purchase affordable health insurance plans, side-by-side, the same way you shop for a plane ticket on Kayak -- (laughter) -- same way you shop for a TV on Amazon. You just go on and you start looking, and here are all the options.

It’s buying insurance on the private market, but because now you’re part of a big group plan -- everybody in Maryland is all logging in and taking a look at the prices -- you’ve got new choices. Now you've got new competition, because insurers want your business. And that means you will have cheaper prices.” (Applause.)

As pointed out numerous times things are not really playing out as Obama had hoped with premiums skyrocketing and "competition" collapsing. The two maps below prove that point beautifully by illustrating the epic collapse of Obamacare coverage in just one year, a collapse that will leave a stunning number of people across the country with only one option for health insurance. Meanwhile, healthcare shoppers in Pinal County, Arizona will actually be left with no options in 2017 as all carriers have abandoned service there. (charts per the New York Times)

Meanwhile, the Obama administration continues to insist that all is well with the Affordable Care Act. Per the New York Times:

“The Obama administration says it is too early to evaluate competition in the Obamacare markets for 2017. Marjorie Connolly, a spokeswoman for the Department of Health and Human Services, said: “A number of steps remain before the full picture of marketplace competition and prices are known. Regardless, we remain confident that the majority of marketplace consumers will have multiple choices and will be able to select a plan for less than $75 per month when Open Enrollment begins Nov. 1.”

The first step is admitting you have a problem.

A "single payer" health system {in America} was ALWAYS the intent of ANY "earthly" tyrannical regime, ever, mwd; and what better way to deceive the American population than "$2,500 dollars cheaper policy, EVERYONE will be insured, and you can keep your old doctors" {BHO}. WOW. Anybody who didn't see THIS coming, and/or is now claiming astonishment is either a "useful {useless} idiot," or one of the (D) lawmakers in Congress {NO (R's)} who extricated themselves {and their BIG donor comrades} from the "plan," "left" from the beginning!!! The (R's) in Congress had a very simple plan to mend American healthcare {always the best in the world}, by doing a private "intrastate" Health Insurance program {like the competitive Auto insurance industry}, that was purposely and dutifully ignored by the (D's) and their "lap-dog" press. There were a few other small "adjustments" that were suggested by the (R) Congress at the time, but the message {that is STILL} being broadcasted is "when YOU come-up with a better plan..." crap. A "single payer" health system will be EVERYTHING the secular/radical liberal progressive Party EVER wanted; going back to the Hillary attempt when "Slick Willy" was POTUS. Health relate "gun control," and American taxpayer financed "EVERYTHING" is now [or when the "ObamaCare" systems fails} "left" on the table!!!Hummmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm. Thanks, LJ. It seems "WE" have slithered "left" by "socialism," and gone directly into full-blown communism. Who are these "exposed," radical "Marx/Alinsky" imposters still trying to fool??? The "astonishment" of the "lap-dog" MSM is {or would be} almost amusing, if "WE" weren't {not Islamic terrorists}, the designated "enemy" {BHB}, of this current regime. Interesting. All I can say is "what's an "experimental" {American} government for, if "WE" don't experiment??? I know {when I was about 7 years old}, I "experimented," by picking up a baby Copperhead snake with a small (just big enough) stick, and the baby snake struck so fast, {and missed by the calculated but mysterious possibility's (and snake size), barely, JUST barely, touching my thumb}, I learned a very important lesson about poisonous snakes that early evening, in general. Had I not "experimented," though, in my own "calculated" environment, {as our current 21st century free-market "PEOPLE," are now doing}, God knows what may have happened in a less controlled situation with a bigger snake. Hummmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm. GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO AMERICA, and; GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO TRUMP!!!

Agreed
The plan is progressing nicely !!!!
The real pain is going to kick in when
the Engineer of this diabolical plan
is out of office. Just as planned.

I do not have the tree but I've got the rope.

They could start by reading legislation before they vote on it.

The (R's) in Congress understood the entire "plan," JF, and not a single (R) vote was cast for the "fundamental transformation" of our tried-and-true American health care system; that HAD been about the best in the world. The (D's}, who all voted for the "plan," worked out a much different "plan," {amongst the lawmaking (D's) in Congress}, to keep themselves {and their wealthy American BIG donors} with their {old}, American taxpayer financed doctors. Wasn't that mighty "white" {sanctimonious} of them!!! Hummmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm. GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO TRUMP!!!

If trying to repeal the ACA 52 times is enough, yes. What they haven't done is try to come up with legislation to make it better, but we all know why, don't we.

Yes we do. Obama will never allow any Republican ideas to be introduced into his legislation. That's the truth and you know it.

I should have clarified. I knew no Republican's voted for this economic takeover, redistribution bill called the ACA. Since I was on this ridiculous health care until I found private coverage I know exactly how this crap works. Being self employed they were going to charge me up the wazoo and for the privilege of paying that wonderful premium I got to hope I got sick enough to go through $6000 out of pocket before I could find a doctor (not mine) who takes this crap.

The President doesn't introduce to or block legislation in congress....you know it!!!!! However, being a right winger, you probably don't know how the process works.

Yes, Rob, although not as engrained as Socialism is, communism is upon us..

You would think these idiots pushing it would use history to define the already known result...

The difference here is this movement does not care what the end result is, as long as their mission achieved!!

It is after all what they and their gullible followers want!!!

Boy that Island sure is looking better every day...
