We here on this site are not much different than what goes on in the media.

We each have a way of looking at things & the desire to express our views in a manner that represents the outcome we would like to see.

Ours is a rather small audience. I for one would like to think that my spending time here is mostly about honing my writing skills.
I feel that I have improved & can put down my thoughts with a better under standing in reaching a degree of interest from some that don't have the same over all view that I have.

I see the World around us just a bit different than most others on this site. I find that for the most part we are very much alike & see the same problems.
The difference comes with where the problems come from & just how to go about solving them.

If answers are to be found just seeking out those that agree with you will never end with the right answers to correct the problems.
So much of what we say comes from a lack of understanding on what the problem really is & what really needs to be done.

I feel that where much of a lack of understanding comes from is each of us has come to this point in life depending on relying on what is best can be described as having our own set of internalized rules for survival. So I tend to say we each need to look into our internalized self. We need to seek out first what is really important to us. Then we can look to others that share those values. Only then can we really get down to looking for answers to our common problems.

A large part of our internalized views have come from living in a divided World where this division has been orchestrated by those that use our division for personal ends.

The truth as been around for a long time. "TO CONTROL PEOPLE YOU FIRST HAVE TO DIVIDE THEM" Then you need to get them to believe that only you can do what really needs doing.

No matter how smart we are or think we are we have been lead to believe we are incapable of doing what is really right & only the chosen few have the right answers.

So I say:
" IT IS ONLY BY SEEKING TO UNDER STAND WHO WE REALLY ARE INTERNALY & SEEKING OTHERS WHO HAVE DID THE SAME. CAN WE DO WHAT IS REALLY RIGHT.
Only then can we seek to do the best as we all see it. The real power in the World is in the hearts & souls of all of us & we all have to seek it together. We have given it away & it is up to each of us to seek the power that ls inside each of us. Together we can make the World Truly Our World.

I seek this because deep onside me I believe that my well being is truly dependent on your well being.

So much well being is locked up in the hearts & soul of each of us. Waiting to be released.

I agree, Floyd.

It might be summed up in this way: Mostly we are taught to live "on the surface", a superficial life where fear and selfishness prevail. If we look into our hearts, we might just find that we are more alike than different, and that working together towards a more meaningful, "deeply lived" life is a lot easier than we think. We all just need to let go of big chunks of ego and fear.

It is all part of a long term project.

Some one needed to start it. Lets just say I am planting seeds. Others will have to supply the fertilizer.

I can only hope to make a little inroad in how people look at the issue.

The only real gain will come as both sides of an issue can find common ground to act on.

Let with the divisions we have there will be no easing of the problems & moving closer to issues none of us really want to see.

There is a difference between a concept and a belief based on personal experience. A concept does not require verification and may be changed at will, whereas a belief based on personal experience is rarely if ever changed. A person may be raised to believe that blacks are an inferior race and will retain that concept, unless and until a personal experience proves otherwise. The same process is true for nearly everything. Many concepts , held since childhood, are never challenged so never change.

I know many people who hold to certain party's/ideologies/religions, because that's the way they were raised and who never question any of it. I know many who have changed party's/ideologies/religions from what they were raised on, because they DID question the concepts they were taught. The first group are unlikely to change their attitudes about anything, unless a personal experience forces them to examine their beliefs. The second group evolves and adjusts their beliefs as new information is gained.

There are some things common to all Americans, regardless of how we were raised, what color we are, or any other superficial difference, but those commonalities are boring and uninteresting so garner little attention - until something dramatic occurs that forces a common experience onto all. Natural disasters, combat and other horrific events are good equalizers, forcing everyone to experience that same things at the same time and forcing everyone to ignore those insignificant differences to survive and recover.

I think our National divisiveness has reached the proportions of a natural disaster - so there is hope.

Your last statement is pure and beautiful. If only everyone could realize the absolute truth of it. Working together is the only answer. We have to turn away from all the propaganda of divisiveness, acknowledging that ,that is all it does, solves nothing and divides us. What has happened is we have lost our trust to the people who are suppose to be working for the welfare of our country. We are a boat without a rudder, aimless and headed for rough seas. This is a turning point and you are correct we have to turn towards each other and not away. We all want what's best for the country, let that be our focus.

As we can see, with the inactivity of this post, people on Opp don't want to hear this, they want to vent, fight and not come together at all...interesting.

Of course in the end Logic will prevail.

One by one they will see the light. Or just die.

People can only bang their head on the wall so long before they realize that it hurts & is not making things better.

Forgive them for they know not better.

Many people will never admit they were wrong.
I think that admitting to being wrong to them is like admitting to being stupid.

It is only by planting little seeds or bits of wisdom & given time that brings the planting of an idea to acceptance.

Sorry But the idea is that it has to be every ones idea. For better or worse just put in what ever your Thoughts & Ideas are.

As I have looked at what is going on around Us. I feel that we harbor misgiving towards others.

I feel that if you scratch any of us the blood we bleed is quite the same.
What we see & feel about most things is more alike than different.

To much is made about how & why we are different & to little about how much we have in common.

The idea I have is people need to look for areas of similarity & nurture that. I equate that to planting a seed (Idea)

The division between Us that We face distracts & keeps Us (The General Public) from having the control over our life's in the way We deserve.

The world is both quite simple or over complicated. Mankind in the past lived a simple but quite demanding life. Now we live in a World that has made getting the simple things of lie much easier to get but now we need to answer to others who wish to control Us. Now getting the simple things of life is the causes of much Hardship & Pain for many.

We need to find the words & ideas that make the greatest sense. We all need to search our Hearts, Minds & Soul & share with each other just what we see & what steps to take in making the World a better place for Us all.

On the eve of great changes being made we need to be part of the Founding Fathers on the next stage of Mankind's Evolution.
It starts with planting seeds.

"The some total of how each of Us looking into our Hearts, Minds & Souls & let the World know what we want or would like to have & what as we see it is needed

That is the Seed that needs sowing. Every one should to the best of their ability take part.

So I am asking people on this site to express for them self & others in their words as clear as possible their hopes & dreams & as much else they wish to share.
needs to be done."

I can't answer for Floyd, but I would say a critical idea is that we all here on Earth are in it together, and more alike than different. And that peace will only come when we understand and practice that idea.

I think "Globalism" has too many negative connotations attached to be a useful to use for what I described.

How about a softer term? Internationalism? World community?

It isn't a tax...it's a fee.

For the Europeans it wasn't a European Constitution, it was a treaty.

"A rose, by any other name..."

Any child knows we need to get along, but unlike children we know that many nations are ruled by monsters who would force their will upon their neighbors with as much enthusiasm as the do their own people. We can do our best to not make the problems worse, but that won't happen with the Establishment we're now trying to dislodge.
