Who is the Author of Lies & Confusion? Who is the prince of the power of the air?

For those of you who have no time to study because you are making a living to support your family, this is for you. Over the years I have observed some real sketchy fantasy coming out of Hollyweird. With far out movies like ET, Communion, Fire in the Sky, Xtro, Alien, The Abyss, Predator, Lifeforce, and Avatar, just to name a few, there is this unrelenting narrative to make you believe there is life in outer space and aliens that come here in spacecraft to abduct and observe us. As of late I have been watching the new trends in movies and I see something happening, that is disconcerting to my mind. I must say though, I had heard of it before and yet, it disturbs me every time I hear it. After the Rapture takes place people will be searching for the cause of so many people disappearing. Millions will have fled earth leaving their earthly valuables behind and only the few who were left behind will know the answer.
The unbelievers will look for a secular believable answer to this in their minds. What I have come to believe is the truth I have found is that they will believe a lie, that they are gone because of extraterrestrial beings, that millions will have been abducted. The gradient concerning this has skyrocketed to an awesome level! The production of these types of movies is on the rise and their popularity as well. How odd is this? So far, we do not have a single shred of “hard evidence” that there are other material beings to begin with throughout outer space or inner space for that matter. And the Bible says these entities do NOT exist.
So how do we define the terminology in scripture as “the prince of the power of the air.”
Satan is described on several occasions as a prince (John 12:31,14:30; Eph.2:2), and he is called Beelzebub, a name of doubtful origin, but which means the prince of demons (Matt. 12:24); in addition he is the god of this age (2 Cor. 4:4). Thus he is in a position of considerable power and authority with a kingdom that was attested to by the Lord Jesus, who said "if Satan... is divided against himself, how shall his kingdom stand" (Luke 11:18). However Satan is never called a king, because nowhere is his authority absolute. His kingdom is not hell, as many have popularly supposed (Dante, Milton), but it is the kingdom of darkness (C 01.1:13), which is in opposition to the kingdom of God. Satan thus rules over both unregenerate mankind and the multitude of demons. When certain angels revolted against God they were cast down to hell, that is Tartarus, and they remain there in bonds until the day of judgement (2 Pet 2:4; Jude 6), so they are restrained from further evil activity. Many other spirits have rebelled, but God in His wisdom has allowed them to retain their freedom, and to act as minions of Satan and assist in his nefarious activities.
"The prince of the power of the air" is a unique expression (Eph. 2:2), and the form of the language in the original Greek is unusual. The phrase is therefore rather difficult to interpret, and various explanations have been given by commentators from the early Church fathers onwards. It would not be profitable to reiterate all these opinions, as many can only be described as ingenious and fanciful. One common interpretation is based on the word used here for air (Gk. aer), which means the lower air or mist, as opposed to the upper clear air; thus the lower air has been equated with the darkness, but the usage seems more specific. The air does not here mean the ordinary physical atmosphere, nor does it imply that the earth is literally surrounded by the hosts of Satan. "The power" (Gk. exousia) it should be noted means a delegated authority; Satan is not omnipotent like our Lord is. The preferred meaning of the expression 'the power of the air' would be the authority over the sphere of activity where the hosts of wickedness operate. This corresponds to the spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places (Eph. 6:12). Thus the air is parallel in thought to the world (Gk. kosmos), with air representing the spirits, as the world represents unregenerate mankind, both of whom are under the power and influence of the evil one.
They Oppose God
The prince and all his demons are totally united in opposing the purposes of God, and directing against Him the affairs of the sons of disobedience. The tragedy is that mankind is naturally blind not only to the light of the gospel, but also to the existence of demons and their evil influence. Demons are also called evil, unclean or familiar spirits, and sometimes incorrectly called devils. Since there is no reproduction among spirits it would seem that each one had individually rebelled against God and given his allegiance to Satan; or, it has been suggested, they may have originally been subject to Satan and then defected together at his fall.
The kingdom of Satan seeks to copy the universal kingdom of God. For as the latter has a hierarchy of thrones, dominions, principalities and powers (Col. 1:16), 50 the former seeks to imitate with a rival organization of principalities, powers, world rulers and spiritual hosts of wickedness (Eph. 6:12). It would be difficult and highly speculative to define each of the above terms separately, or even to differentiate precisely their functions, but it is evident that there are two great forces working in opposition, one for good and one for evil. While God has provided the highest good for mankind, Satan is deploying his forces to hold down fallen mankind and encourage men in selfish greed, ambition and the other works of the flesh, and indeed all that is hostile to the will of God.
Nature of Demons
-they are spirits, having no material form, but they seem to desire physical contact, perhaps to give them greater means of expressing themselves (Matt. 12:43; 8:31).
-they are personal and have names (Mark 5:9).
-they are intelligent and possess powers of thought, speech and action, and they can distinguish between true and false (Acts 19:15).
-they believe in God, but show no repentance, and they also recognize the deity of Christ (Jas. 2:19; Luke 4:34).
-they have some knowledge of the future as they are aware of their destiny (Matt. 8:29).
-they exhibit degrees of wickedness, since some are described as more wicked than others (Matt. 12:45).
-they are able to enter human beings and animals, but the mode of access is unknown.
-they can voluntarily leave a possessed person and later return (Luke
11:24).
-they can afflict both physical and mental disabilities on their victims (Matt 12:22; Acts 16:16 f.).
-they are powerful and can exert supernatural strength in their victims (Matt 8:28).
-they can display emotions, such as fear and rage (Luke 8:31).
-they can be exorcised by the power of God, however some are more difficult to expel than others (Mark 9:28f), but in any case only a minute fraction of His power is needed, as is expressed by the finger of God (Luke 11:20).
-they can influence people without possessing them (1 John 4:1).
Activities of Demons
These activities consist of both opposing the purposes of God and extending the authority of Satan. The scope of their work has varied from time to time depending on the strategy of Satan, who can assume many guises from that of a roaring lion to an angel of light that would attest to the many sightings of unknown lights in the sky that appear and disappear. Perhaps deceit is the most common characteristic. While these activities reached unprecedented levels in New Testament times, as Satan mustered all his forces to oppose Christ, there is ample evidence of the work of evil powers in the Old Testament.
Do People Really Believe This Nonsense?
Is this what most people think? Do they have any idea of the “facts” at hand? I do understand how some people could believe in extraterrestrials, the big silver screen has played its magic for decades on many people. However, in the technology of today it seems to be easier and this is mostly attributable to the introduction of the advanced level of computer graphics. I am sure many have gone to the movies and walked away in virtual awe of the movie like the flick Avatar.
Take for a moment the advent of the computer age. We NO longer MUST use cursive writing skills; we do not have to write out our number problems on paper with a pencil...we have computers and calculators! I do understand that using them is quicker and more accurate, but does this make it better? If you say, “Yes,” then better for whom? Additionally, what have you learned? Remember, our number system as well as our lives follow the concept of linear measurement. Or don’t you understand the essence of time?
CGI (Computer Generated Imagery) has the ability to make fantasy seem to be reality. This technology is not new by any stretch and has been used extensively in movies and on television for years the difference is that we are better at it now than before. Do you remember in “Star Trek” where Captain Kirk would say, “Scotty...beam me up?” And then there would be this shimmering of light around Captain Kirk’s body and he would disappear and then he would reappear in the transport room? Wonderful (CGI) and the effects were astonishing!
These things are the things that I am talking about, simple “deception.” We do NOT possess that kind of real-life technology today but it looks so real on the screen! The characters become so real to us...we can’t wait for the next episode. Over time, we begin to use their “euphemisms” in everyday language and every episode replays the same wondrous CGI effects until we believe it to be true. Isn’t science wonderful, even though it is actively lying to you?
Do NOT think for one moment that this fantasy has remained solely the object of affection by the movie Industry. Science has played with that idea as well. They have even postulated what the little green men from Mars would actually look like and they are not little and green, wearing glass bubble helmets. The facts are, they do NOT exist, except in our imagination! Science does know that repeated exposure to information of any type will lead a person to believe that fantasy...is actually real!
This is the exact spot where harm can and does at times...exist. Let’s say you grow up in a very secular home with secular minded parents and schools (they still teach evolution). You, like everyone else enjoys the movies and so it’s a good thing for your parents, especially when they are so busy with other things. By the time you reach 18 years old how many movies do you think you have watched?
Kids Believe the Fantasy
I cannot accurately say but suffice it that it to say that it was quite a lot! How would any of these movies have a direct effect on what you believe in? That is my point. How many movies or TV shows tell about the Lord Jesus Christ, or teach you about the Ten Commandments, the lives of the apostles, the Israelites, how the universe was actually created? Few...if ever!
So now, look at the situation concerning the Rapture! Are you going to believe what the Bible says or what the movies and TV shows say? Do you remember the “subliminal messages” that were used back in the 50s or 60s? Does that make you wonder a little bit about what they may be doing today, to everyone watching movies and TV shows? “Hmmm. Let’s see, how can we control the masses”? Or is that too big of a stretch for you?
Here’s another example: How about the military and “basic training” or “boot camp?” You must follow orders...no matter the outcome…that could be your death. Does that hit home a little?
There is a reason why God telling us in 2 Corinthians 6.17-18, emphasis added:
“Wherefore come out from among them [the world] and be ye separate, saith the Lord, and touch not the unclean thing; and I will receive you, And I will be a Father unto you, and ye shall be my sons and daughters, saith the Lord Almighty.”
The Almighty God already knew where we would be and what we would be doing with our time and also what we would believe. The world is full of sin and suffering and God did not want us to be living in that manner and believing the foolishness of the world. Remember that Satan is the “prince of the air” and he is also the “father of lies.”
John 8.42-47, emphasis added:
“Jesus said to them, “If God were your Father, you would love Me, for I proceeded forth and have come from God, for I have not even come on My own initiative, but He sent Me. "Why do you not understand what I am saying?
It is because you cannot hear My word. "You are of your father the devil, and you want to do the desires of your father. He was a murderer from the beginning, and does not stand in the truth because there is no truth in him.
Whenever he speaks a lie, he speaks from his own nature, for he is a liar and the father of lies. “But because I speak the truth, you do not believe Me.” Which one of you convicts Me of sin? If I speak truth, why do you not believe Me? “He who is of God hears the words of God; for this reason you do not hear them, because you are not of God.”
God is the Truth
This, my friends is the truth and this goes to show WHO is a liar...Satan. And WHO rules the world?? Think about it! Taking these Scriptures as truth we see how the scenario at the beginning is plausible! What better excuse can the governments of the world use than that, concerning extraterrestrial beings abducting those millions and millions of people in the blink of the eye? And then to think, all those left behind will…“believe a lie?”
2 Thessalonians 2.11: “And for this cause God shall send them strong delusion that they should believe a lie.”
And so there you are, written in black and white, the absolute truth, according to God’s Word the Bible! Of course, this is not the only lie those left behind will believe, just the more insidious one and also the one that is going to be used the most, that we see being perpetrated today.
Ephesians 2.1-2: “And you hath he quickened (made alive) who were dead in trespasses and sins; Wherein in time past ye walked according to the course of this world, according to the prince of the power of the air, the spirit that now worketh in the children of disobedience.”
Is it any wonder then why we spend so much time reading and studying the Bible? It IS the Word of God to us. The Bible is preparing us for living today, what we should be watching for and why. It tells us why we try and show others what we have learned according to the Scriptures and what the truth actually is. The Rapture is so very, very, close and so many are going to be left behind and yet...there is still hope!
This not an endeavor to bring gloom and doom to anyone, we are not trying to “scare” anyone into heaven! It IS the truth...the Rapture is coming, be ready..

Interesting article! I also believe that ufo's are actually demons and not aliens. I watched a 2 part show on Skywatchtv that had Steve Quayle talking about his new book "Empire Beneath the Ice." It is about the Nazi's and the occult. It is a continuation of "Operation Highjump". I think you may be as interested as I am. It has info that I have never heard and I read a lot.
