The pope is a false teacher. God warns us about them. He has told people that one doesn't have to believe in God to get to heaven, thus calling Jesus a liar. Don't know what god this guy serves but it sure isn't the God of the Bible. Further, the pope obviously hasn't learned that God's path is straight and narrow. Not wide and crooked. The Bible never mentions homosexuality. And the story of sodium and gomara don't either, with carefully reading you see something odd as there is no mention of any requests for the young females, It seems unlikely that only gays lived these two villages. Given when this episode occurred any translation remains suspect, It happened long before Greece or Rome. But since you are an American you have a god given right to interpret the story any way you like, just bare in mind you may not be on the money. Even gays are human and thus have a right to live in and safety. You don't have to accept there lifestyle but it's easy to just leave them alone. There is a vast difference between a venial sin. When was the last time you cracked open a bible? Homosexuality is never mentioned? Does "man lying with man" or "woman lying with woman" is an abomination ring a bell? It's in there. Maybe you glossed over it to justify how you live. God calls it an abomination. But, here is what gays don't get. You say leave them alone. No one is bothering them. Most don't care what they do behind closed doors in private but they keep wanting everyone to know, even young impressionable children, what they do between the sheets when we don't care to hear it. Why do they define themselves based on how they like to have sex? You're right, no one has to accept their lifestyle so why keep shoving it in people's faces? What Pope Francis is doing is changing Catholic Doctrine since it's beginning. Pope John XXIII and Pope Paul the VI both issued edicts re-affirming the sanctity of life in the 60 and early 70's. Back then, if a teacher was found out to be homosexual they would be fired. Parents would not have a homosexual teaching their children.

Times have changed (GLBT activists in the late 80's to present), but Pope Francis must still defend the Church that Peter built and protect it's fundamental truths. Abortion is killing a defenseless unborn child and sex between same-sex couples has been seen as an abomination... even if two smoking hot women are doing it.

I am not saying I have anything wrong with Homosexuality... I have several Gay friends. My problem is Pope Francis being Politically Correct in his changing Fundamental Tenents in the Catholic Church
