Here is another of those really old western recordings. Hank Locklin may not be well known to many but his song is.

One of my favorite Vietnam War songs sung by Peter, Paul and Mary. Mary Travers' voice was always one of my favorites.

I also liked his 'Send Me The Pillow That You Dream On.' I remember Johnny Tillotson doing a R&R cover on each of those songs by Locklin.

I think this one might do that too. It is one of my favorites and I have heard the early parts of it so many times and got lots of laughs out of that part. We had it as our ring tone and when we were walking around in big stores and someone called us I always watched the people in earshot to see how many of them nearly twisted their heads off looking for the source of that noise. I always wondered how many of them knew the song.

This is the version of the ringtone.

A good'un there, Roy! Jerry Reed, with guitar in hand, was as entertaining as anyone ever was. Songs from him that come to mind are 'Amos Moses,' 'She Got The Goldmine,' and 'Guitar Man'...the last one is especially good when he paired with Glenn Campbell.

I think I saw that movie more times than anyone. My son at 4 years old demanded that we buy him a copy of it and we often saw it every day. Oh yeah, I was his baby sitter since I didn't have an every day job, but was self-employed.

I always liked Amos Moses because he was such a tough guy.

Yep she is my cousin. My sister is named after her mother. How many people have a famous star for a facebook friend?
