Do you think Trump should follow the tradition that candidates for president release their tax returns?

Do you think Donald Trump should make his tax returns public? Trump says he will release them but only after the election and his tax returns are no one’s business and there is no law that requires him to make his tax returns public and his returns wouldn’t reveal anything new.

However, many are asking him to make his tax returns public because it is a tradition that previous presidential candidates have followed and that the voters have a right to know his tax deductions, overseas tax shelters, and his other business dealings.

Do you think your decision is influenced by your decision to vote for him or not or by your political party influence your decision?

I think Trump will do what Trump's advisors advise...he doesn't necessarily have to be "traditional" he hasn't been so far & look at all the votes he's gotten. I personally don't care about his tax records, I probably wouldn't understand 'em any way & neither do most common folk, TRUMP FOR 2016 & 2020 MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN!

Trump has been in various businesses for decades. A look at his tax returns will give his supporters an idea of how ethical his behavior as a businessman has been. Did he move jobs and capital offshore or did he support mostly domestic workers and companies. Did he use overseas tax havens or pay what he actually owed. Did he have business relationships that we're mutually beneficial to people he claims as enemies to our nation unworthy of admission giving them resources to attack us? Trump brags of his success, if he is as wealthy, honorable and patriotic as he claims he will gain popularity by making his tax returns public. On the other hand if he doged paying taxes with offshore holdings, profited from foreign sweat shops, used shell corporations to stiff creditors and protect his wealth rather than paying what he owed he will have some answering to do.

Cowboy Milt-Exactly! As complicated as his tax returns must be, most people posting here would not be able to understand them. The pundits would have a field day picking at things which they do not understand and it would be front page news daily. The democrats want those released in an attempt to take the spotlight off of their front runner who remains one step ahead of the sheriff. I saw where Trump updated his income for the past 17 months to over 550 million. His businesses apparently generated some 190 million more than he had anticipated. We have never had a billionaire run for the presidency before and curiosity is driving the left wingers insane. Good Luck America !!!

Yo Succubus,

What I think, is that you should shut up, sit down and pay attention.........PUNK !

Point 1. You are an insignificant dweeb while Trump is a self made billionaire.

Point 2. In America, insignificant dweebs like you don't dictate what billionaires do in regard to their taxes.

Point 3. You're an ill-educated dufus so if you did have access to Trumps tax information, you're far too stupid to comprehend the arithmetics.

Now go fish...........................PUNK !!!

All aspects of the candidates background should be considered prior to deciding to I vote.

1) voting record it's the only way to determine what they are for or against.
2) I believe nothing any politician says on the campaign trial they will say anything due to the fact that 65% of most voters are classified as low information voters.
3) tax returns I want to know who is gaming the system.
4) who is financing there campaign
5) trust can anybody trust a politician today when the conservative SCOTUS created citizens United.
6) war are you for diplomacy or just a neo con
7) Collective bargaining I believe in the working man and turning wage and price control over to the corporate elite is not a good thing.
8) comprehensive tax reform

There are many issues I take into consideration but voting record gives you a real indication of what they are for or against not what they say on the campaign trail.

All aspects of there personal background should be taken into consideration it's probably the best way to determine the character of the candidate.

Past released tax returns show he paid 0 in taxes by following existing US Tax Code, dumbass. What you and the rest of the moonbat cult want is to try and use them to smear him. Like the other underhanded bullshit tried to smear him it has backfired, this probably would to. I hope it will blow up in your sorry faces.

Why don't you moonbats scrutinize the clinton tax dodging foundation and its illegal donations? Oh no, not our demagogue, the bitch, and her merry band of accomplices. Close scrutiny might expose an ugly truth that would make moonbats' heads explode. LOL

Kevyn-Trump supporters do not need his tax returns. We already know he is a successful businessman who can turn this country around. If you are interested in ethics or lack thereof you do not need to go any further than the Clintons. Play us another sad tune. Good Luck America!!!

The Clinton foundation is a non profit organization dedicated to world wide health initiatives, including the reduction of childhood obesity, environmental conservation, expansion of economic opportunity and spreading educational opportunities. How can their be contributions to a registered charitable organization that are illegal? Trump lines his pockets by running gambling parlors, reality TV shows tackey hotels and ponzi scams. How you can try to compar his racket to the Clinton's charity which has raised tens of millions to help the worlds most needy is mind boggling. A clear look at Mr. Trumps business practices is not underhanded bullshit, it gives Americans a clear idea of his ethics, benovelance and values. You are likely right about one thing, his tax dodging may be completely legal, however just because something is legal doesn't mean it is ethical. Trump owes his supporters transparency and the truth about his behavior.

Ross Perot, who was a billionaire, comes to mind. That hasn't been that long ago, either.

It seems most of the responses so far express the beliefs that the voters don't have a right to see Trump's tax returns and he has no obligation to release them. Most responses express the belief that we citizens are not informed or smart enough to understand Trump' tax returns if they were made available to us. Some said that if Trump would release his tax returns, his political adversaries would use them against him. And there was also the argument from some that we don't know and we don't want to know because we have already made up our minds. Did I leave opinions out?

It seem most responses agreed with the quote, "Democracy encourages the majority to decide things about which the majority is ignorant. Laurence J. Peter.

Good God man, you are a gullible dupe! LOL It may be a non-profit institution but it is not a charity. It is a tax dodging influence peddling slush fund. I"€™m quite sure, however, that few moonbats, such as yourself, predisposed to like the Clintons much care.

In Jonathan Tobin's piece titled, "€œIs the Clinton Foundation Really a Charity?" "The business model here is all about the show of charity and, as our Abe Greenwald wrote on Monday, primarily interested in lauding a €œclass of global VIP celebrating its good works."€ That doesn'€™t help many poor people, but it did aid the Clintons in their effort to attract wealthy, self-interested donors who preferred to give to a foundation that could advance their personal political and economic agendas rather than aid the poor.
Technically speaking this isn'€™t a scam, since the Clintons' donors know exactly what they are getting. Indeed, many of them may well have gotten their money'€™s worth of influence by giving money to the ex-president and a sitting secretary of state and would-be president. If so, that is a scandal and one that ought to disqualify Hillary Clinton for consideration for the presidency.
But though it may not be illegal, it is not quite the noble cause to which we'€™re all supposed to pay homage. What'€™s more, the "€œmistakes"€ the foundation has made in its filings are leading to reasonable suspicions that we have just started to scratch the surface of its questionable dealings. Those liberals that are dedicating themselves to rationalizing and apologizing for the foundation may find that they have taken on a task that is in the process of becoming a full-time and increasingly impossible job."

The Clinton Foundation announced last week that it would be refiling its tax returns for the last five years because it had improperly failed to disclose millions of dollars in donations from foreign sources while Hillary Clinton was serving as Secretary of State.

We can deflect the issue to someone else's tax returns that were released or we could criticize Trump because he inherited $250,000,000 and was able to turn it into a lot of money, went bankrupt seven times, and sent many American jobs to China. He has proven to Rico is obviously a fan of Der Trumpster and his success. Greed is good.
