Fossil Fuel Industry Sucks

This is a facebook plug from the Bernie Sanders campaign, but it's a really good point (among many that Bernie makes). Fossil fuel companies make Satan look like a girl scout. I can't think of ANY industry that matches their destruction and disregard for human life.

It is a good point, the next is that there should be an amendment to the lobbying laws but that won't ever happen since it continues to fill the pockets of the politicians, with Bernie there could be a chance to rectify this.

I call on you to give up and quit using any product or service brought to you through the use of fossil fuels. It will break my heart to think of you living naked under a rock, but what the hell!

Interesting reply considering I was mostly talking about lobbyists which I believe was also the point of the post as straight up was talking about money spent to return, do you disagree with that. As far as naked under a rock big news for you humans existed fairly well clothed and under fine roofs before the industrial age.

What does that have to do with a $20.9 billion subsidy? Are you saying we should all pay the fossil fuel industry billions of dollars or live under a rock? Are you saying we should send our soldiers to die in the desserts of Asia for the benefit of oil traders or live under a rock?

Not all of us are as weak and submissive as you. Some of us have a stronger outlook involving a better future instead of just accepting our fate. There is an endless source of alternatives that range across the products lines from fuel to plastics. We don't HAVE to submit to the monopoly of the fossil industry. A lot of us are also pioneering social changes that reduce our carbon footprint. I'm not prepared to switch cold-turkey because I don't want to live under a rock but I'm making small changes bit by bit... I only use my F-150 on rare occasions now since I got a smaller car with better gas mileage... I buy local products whenever I can, I converted my landscape to native plants and now I don't have to water, weed or fertilize. I'm healthier, I'm happier and I'm more liberated knowing I have choices that the fossil industry doesn't want us to know about. Oh, and I am supporting politicians that promote green research, and a quarter of my investments are in alternate energy. I'm obviously spreading the word about how the American people are being duped into pampering the fossil fuel industry too.

So... have fun being a carbon-based supply-chain slave.
