What Seminoles do you associate with. Many of those I knew while living in Fl weren't affluent enough to have a $20 dollar bill. Those that were didn't care whose picture was on it.

I don't know what part of Florida you visited , but the Seminoles have been running bingo halls, selling tax free cigs and running casinos down here for years . The Hard Rock Casino in Hollywood and the Coconut Creek Casino are owned by the Seminoles , they have their own police force and a lot of Seminoles and Micasukees are driving Lamborghini's . btw old gringo , you did know that there are several tribes here in Florida . This is where many native American Tribes from all over the country were MARCHED TO , on their "new reservation " in what was then a very inhospitable , hot steamy, snake and gator infested Florida .

There were actually 12.9 million to 15.9 million in Fl between 1950 and 1960.

I did not know that . I know many of the guys I worked with and served with from the mid 60's to 70's , got trained in refrigeration and a/c so they could go make a life in Fla. and that they did , of those who I know .
The snowbirds still come and go , and I expect that will continue as long as there are cold winters up north .

Yep, and many go to AZ in the winter, which I much prefer. I no longer go there as I no longer have any relatives residing there. They have all passed on to the happy hunting grounds. I am stuck here in Mexifornia with my offspring and their hippies in training. :lol:
