I am known as ProudLiberal, and several people have made nasty comments about me. Have called me really absurd and insulting names. "Idiot". "Wingnut". That sort of thing. I would like to state that I am not an idiot, not anything so horrible, which has been said of me, to me, based on the name I chose, which I am waiting to have changed. Do not judge me, unless you know me. As I said, I am originally from NYC, and have lived in France. We grew up very poor, and my father did really well, and I'd no idea we were poor. I was a very withdrawn child. As I said I grew up in a war zone. Whomever called me those names, you have no idea who I am, what has happened in my life. I am a bright, well read woman, with much life and a wonderful sense of being free of bondages of the past. I would like to state that yes, I am a Democrat, and I will vote for Hillary Clinton. Elizabeth Warren will run for Senate, and will win, and then, at some point, she will be President. This a new world, whomever called me "names" - schoolyard, first grade, elementary school bullying. It's shocking in an adult. It is unkind. I have a belief that there is no "OTHER" - that there is only "ONE". We are all ONE. For better or worse. I believe there is that "golden rule", do unto others, as you would have done unto you. I think whoever you are, you need to perhaps review this most Christian of sentiments. :| :-( Nora in Oakland, California...

They call themselves "conservatives" I don't know when disparaging the poor and cheating the worker became what a conservative is supposed to be.

The atmosphere can be quite cut throat here, so its normal for a user with the name such as "proudliberal" to gain flak from conservatives and the like. well Nora, other than that little mishap, I hope you enjoy your stay here.

If you haven't already, go to "My Profile" listed under "One Political Plaza...." It's the very first thing you will see on the second line, same line of choices you find "Private Messages" on. Admin, I don't think, pays much attention "most" of the time to what people put down in key bytes on Open Forum. A "change of name" won't change, perhaps, how people respond to your posts, but they won't immediately jump to conclusions before they even read your posts, erroneous ones I might add, when they see your name. My first week of posting...just about took my breath away, and not in a nice way either. I "am" still here. I have taken a few breathers, looking in, not posting much, because things disturbed me, shook up my belief system, and made me lose my center. However, I always come back. Think of it as a challenging adventure.
