I've been asking myself this question for the longest. Everything from our Heavenly Fathers holy name that he said he wants glorified, his laws, his true sabbath day, Feast days, that he said he dwell among has been changed by man. Even our Messiah said he did not come to changed anything but to fulfil. If he didnt have the authority by Our father to change. Why did mam feel he has the authority to change. Even our messiah told his captives the only power you have is what was giving from above. The same power that didnt give him authority to change but fulfil was Yahs word. Heaven and earth will pass but his wors will not, so why did man change. Also i hear people say the old testament is done away with. How could that be when it soeaks of his laws, even words for our generation from our father is in old testament. Again I say who is man to feel he has the authority to do these things.

You're correct, man is an arrogant fool. We see his "intelligence" on the news every day. From the slaughter of innocent babies to the acceptance of gays marrying, humans are rather disgusting. Good post, thank you

Man is "earthly." Man is capable of great sin. Man, as is witnessed in our current administration, abides by some of mans laws [that suit (him)] and negates those [laws] that don't. As soon as the "serpent," in the Garden of Eden [I believe Iran or Iraq] tempted Eve to talk Adam into taking a bite of the "forbidden" apple, mans fate was certainly put on a different path than God would-have taken.

Being that Satan is [currently] the "Prince of the earth," man, in many cases, tries to throw God out of - everything; government, schools, businesses, churches, homes, minds and anywhere else God is seen; or not. Jesus Christ, the Son of God, [and His only begotten Son] was born to Joseph and Mary to show a sinful man "The Way."

I read the Bible [not as often as I should], and many articles pertaining to the Bible, [Old and New Testament] as seen through the eyes of Herbert W. Armstrong [deceased] [and Gerald Flurry] who established the PCG, [Philadelphia Church of God] and is said, [by many] to have been the modern-day Prophet, "moved by the Holy Spirit," of the "end-time" Prophesies of Jeremiah; "to the world."

'Again,' writes Gerald; "God gives His revelation for a reason." 'And then said Jeremiah;' "Then the Lord put forth His hand and touched my mouth. And the Lord said unto me, Behold, I have put my words in thy mouth" (verse 9). Gerald goes on to say; "If we have God's words in our minds and mouths, it's because God put them there. And God expects His spokesman to speak those words. God's people are fully expected to support those revealed and spoken words!"

You are feeling some of the same frustrations I am and I'm becoming aware that many other Christian brothers are feeling the same as you and me. I'm encouraged by this because I sense the Lord at work perhaps for the last revival before his coming. Engage and encourage others with your words. I think your direction is correct.

Why? T's really simple:
1. For the unbeliever, it is the spirit of the prince of the power of the air (Satan, the god of this age) that has from the beginning of time been working in the children of disobedience (Ephesians 2:2) and has blinded their minds (II Corinthians 4:4) to the truth.

2. For the believer there is absolutely no excuse as they either 1/desire the praise of men more than the praise of God (John 12:43), or 2/desire to be spoon-fed only the milk of the word which has been corrupted ever since Constantine forced a paganized form of Christianity upon everyone after which his mantle was proclaimed by Roman Catholicism from then on. The Reformation, though great, did very little to bring back the purity of the Christian faith in its entirety for its pagan feasts and festivals were already too entrenched.

Then, too, it has been prophesied that "...the time is coming [and now is] when people will not endure sound teaching but have itching ears [and] they will accumulate for themselves teachers who shall turn their ears away from the truth and be turned unto fables." (II Timothy 4:3-4).

But yes, Yahweh's name shall be glorified in the fullness of time when "Every knee shall bow of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth and that every tongue shall confess that Jesus (Yeshua) Christ is Lord to the glory of God the Father." (Philippians 2:10-11)

Meanwhile, we who do believe the relevancy of all scripture for today are admonished to be as the noble Bereans who "received the word with all eagerness [and to] examine the scriptures* daily to see if those things were so." (Acts 17:11).

*It is understood that the scriptures at that time were solely the old covenant scriptures (the Torah, the prophets, and the writings).

Only certain, God fearing men, don't try to confuse the message of our Bible; and don't try to throw God out of every phase of life; government, education, homes, churches, minds, and every other place "on earth," that God is able to be portrayed as; "not welcome!!!"

I had done a whole passage [on OPP] and "Revelation," on Jeremiah, the "end time" prophet, and Herbert W. Armstrong, [PCG/deceased] who Gerald Flurry holds-up as the modern-day Jeremiah; but I took too long, and [it] was deleted!!! "Then the Lord put forth His hand," reveals Jeremiah, "and touched my mouth. And the Lord said unto me, Behold, I have put my words in thy mouth" (verse 9).

Gerald goes on to say; 'If we have God's words in our minds and mouths, it's because God put them there. And God expects His spokesman to speak those words. God's people are fully expected to support those revealed and spoken words!'
