I've never seen one. Heard a lot if amusing/horrifying stories. I live a few miles from the erstwhile home of Tennessee's Bell Witch, which entity would more rightly classified as a 'Haint' (colloquial for Haunt), ghost or poltergeist. Pres. (then General) Andrew Jackson is reported to have debated her at length.
I do not believe in ghosts or life beyond physical death, personally.

I `am not Atheist but Jewish, I believe in God ,but not after life no proof of after life has ever been recorded. When you die you are just dead.Hell is right here on earth. Heaven is also. life is what you make of it.Stop blaming the devil on evil deeds they are all man made. God is good and Evil .Good and evil you never have one without the other. Man is arrogant to have created a soul. Accept your wows and your respects for others only to give as good as you get. No one is perfect just look at everyone in here. people always have something to hide,no one lets you see his everything.Some need to grow up. accept criticism as character.

Dear Cesspool Jones:Ghosts are a very real possibility,as they are the lingering spirits of the deceased.This naturally points to God and an afterlife.I have known more than a few nonbelievers,and since they don't believe in God,they certainly don't believe in ghosts.Some of them will even scoff at you if you mention ghosts.
If some bright soul someday could manage to get authenticated proof that ghosts exist,the churches would be twice as full.Zeno
