welcomes foreigners, but the Canadian-Quebecois people as a whole.“Finally, they must understand that in Canada (Quebec) with its
Judeo-Christian roots, Christmas trees, churches and religious festivals, religion
must remain in the private domain.
"The municipality of Dorval was right to refuse any concessions to Islam
and Sharia.

They should make this a part of every immigration visa issued. And everyone who wishes to immigrate to the U.S. should have to agree to abide by these principles, in writing.

Now that's how it should be! The people who come to this country want Americans to adapt to their ways of life and customs. They need to remember they came here. That mayor should be applauded for doing what's right. I wish we had some politicians with a spine like the mayor of Quebec. I bet Canadian liberals are blowing a gasket. I love it when pushy immigrants have to abide by the laws instead of letting spineless politicians change them so as "not to offered anyone". Score one for the GOOD GUYS!!!!

Good luck with that one. Pardon me if I don't hold my breath on that Amendment. I agree with the mayor of Quebec, if you come to this country you must abide by U.S. law and adapt to the principles that this country was founded on, which means you must accept and tolerate every individual's right to worship as they see fit, as long as it does not infringe on another's right to worship, as they see fit. From the very first moment that I was cognizant of what this country stood for, I was taught that you were free to do as you wish, within the law, as long as it did not infringe upon the rights of others. I personally have no issue with Islam, what I do have an issue with is any religion or belief system that advocates that all humans must adhere to its tenants and doctrines. That runs contrary to the principles this country was founded on.
