Watching how Trumpenfuhrer operates, I have noticed one of his worst tactics. He will find a group of people who desperately need help -- the Dreamers, for instance, or the children being taken into custody at our Southern borders. He will hurt them, and then say 1) I didn't do it (a lie) and 2) If you want me to stop hurting them, then you must give me my way by passing such-and-such an unpopular legislative measure. He is quite happy to hurt other people and play on our sense of compassion to get his own way. Quite a President we have here !

If you are so concerned about the "dreamers" contact your Democrats in Washington and tell them to get off their behinds and propose a solution. It is easy to blame...it is a lot harder to take action. President Trump is a man of action. You may not like it, but that is just too bad.

Hitler was a man of action, too. Democrats have already proposed solutions, but Republicans won't accept them and prefer to keep the Dreamers as hostages for their own political ends. And while Trump thinks he is strengthening America, he is in fact weakening this country. Ally after ally is leaving the fold.

An argument is automatically lost when you bring Hitler or Nazi into the discussion. I say deport the "dreamers" they are nothing more than a burden on society. Countries change positions daily..... your friend today is the one who gouges you in tariffs tomorrow..... or like Turkey who has sided with ISIS...... Trump is calling the shots. The Law is the law, that was made up by the Democrats during Clinton's reign in 1997. All Trump is doing is enforcing the law that Clinton put in place. BO just went along with it because he is a wimp and couldn't figure out a solution...and it got him votes, and now Trump, as usual, is left with another mess to clean up. What Trump is doing now is enforcing those laws. These children are not being ill treated.
If you don't like the law that Trump is trying to enforce, then lobby your congressman.

EmilyD, you are mistaken or deliberately lying if you are claiming that what Trump is doing by separating these children from their parents is following the law. What he is doing is not following any law. It is Trump’s policy, which he can change any time he wishes with a simple phone call.

Prove it. Democrats have offered NO solutions. Democrats refuse to deal with the issue. Any attempt that is put out by Republicans is voted down by Democrats. They voted almost unanimously against Trump's plan to give Dreamers a path to citizenship. If the problem were to be resolved, liberals would have nothing left to hate. Resist and obstruct Democrats need things to hate. They can't let this situation be resolved.

You Republicans are injuring children, and you don't care. You are the ones whose actions are based purely on politicial considerations. Your man Trump is quite close to being another Fuhrer, and it is a credit to our politicial system that he has encountered resistence that prevents him -- so far -- from going all the way. What is going on here is that Trump has instituted a cruel policiy that is not a law, and that he could reverse with a simple phone call.

You should focus on the effects all this is having on the children themselves and not on the political side. Do you have children ? Do you care about them ?

You are wrong about Obama doing the same thing. Obama didn't. Obama considered this same action and rejected it because it was too cruel. Trump, it has often been noted, doesn't have empathy with anyone but himself.

Yes, you conservatives often rant about how if somebody wants to take away your guns, you'll be out there shooting. Well, this is a much more powerful issue than that. You talk about inciting people to violance. Yes, this could do it.

Oh Richard zip code, apparently you never heard of immigration law. Is that possible? Are you six years old? How is it possible that you have no clue about immigration law? Why do you suppose they are called "illegal" immigrants? Do you not understand that "illegal" means against the law?

So when these illegal immigrants break the law and are thrown into jail, would you suggest that the children go to jail with them? That way the families would not be broken up.

Which party controls the Presidency? The Republican Party. Which Party controls the House of Representatives? The Republican Party. Which party controls the Senate? The Republican Party.
