Why do illegal immigrants choose to surrender their children?

All they have to do is agree that they will take their "smuggled" children back across the border, they are free to self-deport.
Instead they make the choice to ante up their own children, in a gamble that they may eventually recieve refugee status.
The SCOTUS has ruled that ignorance of our laws is not an excuse for breaking them.
Do the crime, serve the time; as it should be!

Illegals use their children. So they don't mind their kids being separated...they use this to sucker in the fools who support illegal immigration.
Tolerating illegals, especially criminal elements benefits America just how?
Oh yes. It adds millions of Democrats to the voter roles. It is a huge burden on taxpayers, but that's ok. Trillions more in debt and huge increase in crime inc.rape is justifiable if it means Democrats control.

A very interesting question.... Certainly not one that crossed my mind. But, you are right. I am sure the word has also reached their "camps" and they know that they will be separated from their children if they enter illegally and for some who can not prove the need for amnesty, if they approach border patrol and ask for amnesty, their children (not babies) will be separated until a decision is made on their claims. Another question, why don't they ask for amnesty in Mexico, they said they would be happy to have them and grant them full citizenship no questions asked.

Just go back to what? 50 cents a day, crime and punishment has always been about present circumstances, their system of wealth creation was forced on them that's why justice is not ideology it's precedent.
Now on these proceedings I'm happy that Jews aren't always voluntarily posing as the barbarians of Christian Society, in this case the Christians take first place.

Every person on earth who chooses to enter any foreign nation, accepts the responsibility to both "know and obey" the laws of that nation.
Try entering Mexico with a firearm, and see how far "gee I didn't know" gets you, if, that is, they let you write from a Mexican Jail Cell !

I found out where they come up with those numbers, the other day the NWS reported the temperature in LeMars IA. as 133 degrees F.,
with a heat index of 509 degress F.! So much for their claim to accuracy!

Sorry but economic hardship is not a basis for refugee status, if it were, most of the third world would qualify.

You are entirely correct, however, that assumes that the people entering such foreign nation want to do so LEGALLY. These people entering ILLEGALLY are not illegal immigrants, they are "illegal aliens". Immigration is governed by laws and refugee status is governed by laws. The people being discussed here don't qualify for either "immigrant status" or "refugee status". What they do qualify for is "illegal alien status" and as such should be deported immediately back to their home (and legal) country.

Mexico is a good bit smarter than we are on this side, they just won’t let them stop there. I’m sure it’s more comfortable to have your “children” fed, clothed, and bedded, here than it is in a Mexican jail cell. Therefor, they come on in! If any of you have ever spent any time in Mexico, you will know that an “infraction” of the law by an expatriate, means jail, there ain’t no passing go. They’ll keep coming, one thing is Mexico condones it, ever hear of how much US cash these illegals send back to their countries?? It’s in the high 40 million dollars a year, if not more. The Americans need the jobs taken by these people, we do not need them in our country !!!!!
