I am a veteran. But today is not my day. I served my country with pride. But today is not my day. I am here to see the sun rise over this great nation. Today is not my day. I am able to hug those I love. Today is not my day. Do not thank me today. Today is not my day. Today we honor those who paid for our freedom with their lives. Today is their day. Today we remember those who never came home. Today is their day. Today we remember with gratitude those who will never hug their children, kiss their wives, or see the sun rise over the United States. Today is their day.

I, too an a Veteran, like you I came home, to have children, grandchildren, and great grand children, a loving wife and live out my FREEDOM because one those who never dropped the torch and marched into HELL and to save FREEDOM for us. GOD BLESS the fallen who paid the total price.

There are so many people confused over the difference between Memorial Day (observing only those who died, whatever the circumstance, while serving) and Veterans Day (observes all military veterans serving, retired from or who have otherwise served in the military).
