Why I Am No Longer A Conservative Republican
How did we arrive at the current situation? James Madison in his speech to the Virginia Ratifying Convention, June 16, 1788 said, “There are more instances of the abridgement of the freedom of the people by the gradual and silent encroachment of those in power, than by violent and sudden usurpation.” We didn’t get here all in one jump. First the camel said, “Can I just stick my nose in your tent to stay warm?” and finally the generous man found himself out in the cold as the camel settled down for a nice warm nap, one inch at a time.

Lately it seems like the only remaining difference between Liberals and the
Conservatives is that the Conservative female politicians are still the best lookin.

The only way that this country has moved to the right, is because the crazy liberals keep moving to the left, and it appears that we have moved to the right by them, but they failed to realize is that they are the only ones moving.

But they're not the only ones moving to the left. The whole damn country has been affected by the all pervasive Marxist propaganda and today's cultural Marxism. Just look at these post here on OPP. Those calling themselves conservatives or Republicans have lost the ability to articulate conservative values like those on the right use to be able to do. Who else here besides me, really articulates and explains conservative values effectively and thoroughly and why the right is right and the left is wrong ???

Your response struck me, because it is so true. For myself, I find it very difficult to find truth beyond God and His Word, upon which my values are placed. Watching any news, sifting through the internet, you find pieces of truth, and attempt to form a realistic picture, but it remains incomplete. Gods Word is the only absolute, against which to measure the information. All this stuff that is happening are just events on a trajectory God has mapped out. Did so and so lie? Yes, of course, they all lie. Will the bad guys win? Yes, for a time...but in the end they will see it has always been a battle lost. God already won.
