Oh it's past time but I imagine it's going to take a couple more mass shootings before a real movement can take place to move forward with a constitutional amendment. The thing is the kids are pissed and instead of sitting out an election are going to go to the polls and vote!

It is my opinion to leave the second amendment alone. Most murders are committed by weapons other than guns; such as knifes, bombs, motor vehicles, poison, electricity, drugs, hands, baseball bats, etc. The second amendment was designed to protect the people from the government(s). We already have laws against murder; how well are they working? Do you honestly think passing another law such as outlawing guns will solve anything? You would do just as well to figure out how to outlaw hatred or mental illness; another impossible goal.

This isn't about stopping 'most' murders but stopping mass shooting which is a whole different ball park....

Changing the constitution or outlawing guns isn't the answer. It's stupid brainwashed people that causes mass shooting.

Next you will want to outlaw cars and airplanes because they kill people.

As noted by Lenin and Marx, the first move to induce a violent revolution is to disarm the populace. The second is to seize the instruments of communication (radio, newspapers, etc). The left has already accomplished the latter and need only do the first to produce "paradise". Rest assured, that because "paradise" will have to be imposed and maintained by deadly force, the loss of life will be huge and will make the current loss of life due to "gun violence" look like chicken feed. That is demonstrated by the history of the 20th century. Those who ignore the lessons of history are doomed to repeat them. That is why the repeal of the Second Amendment would be a catastrophic mistake.

Only those ignorant of history would condone repeal.
More focus on the cause and less on the instrument.
The instrument of mayhem will always be there, bombs-knives-bats-clubs-ropes and the list goes on and on.
Maybe we should put someone that commits mass murder in a 3X3 lockup and let them rot.

No, as in Russia (1917), China (1945), Cuba (1960), and Eastern Europe (1945-8) to name but a few.

Small Peter you are way past dumb. The constitution spells out your rights but it cannot take away your rights. Nothing can take away my rights by just getting rid of a few words on paper. The words on the paper actually keeps the government from dicking with us as human beings. I was born with rights and will always have my rights. If you want to do some good for the country go back to the way the country should be run. Take the money away from the senators and their retirements and let people run the government that actually want to run the government. Not let senators run that want to get rich. all of them have gotten rich at our expense. Money is what is driving them and not the people that voted them in. We already have enough laws on the books to stop the shooting and all we have to do is inforce them.
