Times of our lives... Think!

There are so many who will read this and thank God it is not them. There are others who are wrapped up in booze, opioids or any of the many other pits which have negatively affected their happiness and life.

There are times in all of our lives when we make decisions which do not work out the best for us. Perhaps we we are only thinking about today. What we want for the moment. It seems good and pleasing.

Yes all of us tend to go for the quick gratifications in life. We know there are consequences to our actions, yet that will be tomorrow's problem. What we face this day looks greater than what we will most assuredly face tomorrow.

Do you need help? Can you help yourself? Do you really want to? Perhaps others on here have been through the same trials and can help us all?

Make no mistake. This is not a sermon, it is only a hand outreached if you want it.

There are so many who will read this and thank God... (show quote)

I drank for 40 yrs, scotch and bourbon, never drank at home, never in the day. But at beer thirty everyday to the bar I went. Some days I had 1 or 2, some days 10, 4 yrs ago in the bar I was talking to a friend who was the bartender and we were talking about when a person should give it up. Well after our conversation I said this'll be my last...and to this day Jim Beam has never touched my lips. Can't say I don't think about it occasionally but I feel 20 yrs younger and never have had the urge. In 4 yrs I've had a couple wine coolers and a few Mike's hard lemonade, but usually a diet coke, a couple games of pool and out the door I go. Didn't seem like hurdle, at least to me. To be honest, I still am partial to high grade herb😆
