Isn't it, looking back 60yrs or so, and then you come back to reality of whats going on today makes you squeamish don't it.

Well I wasn’t born yet but I’ve seen similar things on most of what you posted here.. like Elvis Presley, the VW, McDonalds but never at any .15c or gas for a Quarter.. I know about them from my Dad and older brother..
Anyway, I found them all interesting and Thank You for posting them...

In 1955 I was 12 years old and didn't think about all that was going on either. Amazing how things have changed. $15.00 for a hospital room, $2.00 a night for a motel room things sure have changed.

1955,was a great year for me, 7 January 1955,I enlisted in the US Army,I was 17 years old,I remember gas at 9.9 cents a gallon,during gas wars.

Just be glad youre not in mexifornia,gas there,is over $3.50 a gallon.here in North Florida its $2.59 today
