Did they really? That cannot be proven. BTW, a little dose of Versed would have gotten every secret any detainee had in their heads within 5 minutes, without torture, but then............ the goons wouldn't have had any fun. Our enemies stopped using torture to extract information years ago, and began using the much more reliable "chemical persuasion", reserving torture for retributive purposes. Ok, I see now.
