EPA Withdraws Air Pollution Policy

Agency reverses decades-old emissions policy that environmentalists and congressional critics called one of its bedrock regulations

Isn't this great this low level of consciousness of how we are affecting the environment negatively. As we continue to roll back under the Republican majority steamroller. So much to be proud of here. How do we protect the environment you may ask...easy answer... we don't.

Our new administration is cutting back any consequences, let's look at things for only the short term to hell with what happens in the future. As it is cancer is almost at an epidemic proportion where one in three will have it, newborns are up to 350 toxins detected in their umbilical cords. But hey, let's make us all sick so we can continue to feed the ever growing medical and pharmaceuticals industries. Let's be to sick to be a productive nation, our GDP will be in feeding the sick, good plan. We can always depend on the party of corporate America, that's spelt GOP.

Still haven't grown up yet I see and as ignorant as ever.

In all other main varieties of English, spelt and spelled both work as the past tense and past participle of spell, at least where spell means to form words letter by letter or (with out) to make clear. Outside the U.S., the two forms are interchangeable in these uses, and both are common.

Go get an education and grow up and then ...maybe post to me, you're a waste...of time.

I can say a truth about you but don't want my post deleted.

Isn't it past your bedtime...again.

You rant without offering any true solution. Maybe, just start aborting babies that have all these toxins ? Like aborting babies just because they have Downs. Or maybe my nephew with Autism, that I truly love and has been a blessing to our family. What exactly is being rolled back ? So you are seeking a world without any person that has any imperfections. You and others like yourself have the right to determine who should live and not. I'm 63 years old, served 38 years. Lived through two wars and missions all over the world. Have you seen the horror of young children hanging on a wall, tortured and raped. Getting bout time to put me down too. I'm no longer needed. Just served to give you the right to believe in your yellow brick road, unicorns and fairies. quote=Morgan]EPA Withdraws Air Pollution Policy

snip<<In all other main varieties of English, spelt and spelled both work as the past tense and past participle of spell. And I assume your argument is that EPA regulations do nothing to clean up the environment? If not then what exactly is speculative....

Is your argument that banning toxins isn't a solution? When the answer to a problem was already in place there is no need to offer it up again...

Rant without any true solutions, how about leaving the regulations that have been in place for decades for our protection stay there, sounds like a good solution to me.

My argument is that we have toxins around us every day. Some we know of now and some that may surface in the future. Agree, if a certain toxin is determined to cause more harm than good, then it should be banned. Just like DDT was. But where does it end ? In the womb ? Just because a baby may be born handicapped ? Who has the authority to make these life and death decisions ? It is lunacy to believe that we can live in a toxin free world. A world free from any thing that WE are TOLD is abnormal. A world were WE are TOLD what to think, HOW to ACT and WHAT we can say and not say, just better to say nothing at all. One of my favorite songs, read the lyrics for Simon and Garfunkel, "Sound of Silence". Read the book 1984 by George Orwell. This is the world the progressives are promoting and working to bring about. Where does it end and who has the authority ?

Honest to god I find it hard to get how they think. One of the first acts that Trump did was to undo the ban on dumping Coal tailings in our waterways - tailings which contain Mercury, Arsenic, and any number of toxins. And for what, so a dying industry can stay alive a few months longer? The logic is simply confounding. Do we not remember our air quality in the 60's? So why the eagerness to reverse everything. Does our quality of life not have a dollar value???

The EPA doesn't allow for the dumping of motor oil or oil based paints and solvents into the environment. Is that telling you what to say and not say? And we give our representatives the authority. Do you not know how government works?

Not in the minds of the industrialists, which is why the government had to step in...in the first place. Our lives to them mean absolutely nothing, we are simply collateral damage. The only thing that strikes the heart of this beast is the abstraction of money, BIG money, enough for them to say ...ouch. Otherwise, this beast will devour everything in its wake for profit.

We were making improvements for damage that's been done for decades, but the corporate scum right has us marching backwards once again, they really do hate the word "progressive". Working for the environment can create jobs, I thought that was a priority?
