No... I think he will retire with full benefits. Not that I do not think he should be fired, but firing this close to retirement would be highly unusual in the government.

That S.O.B. knew EXACTLY what he was doing wrong and issues of culpability surrounding his actions. Maybe his actions weren’t illegal, but, totally unethical.
Would you be fired, but, afforded all retirement benefits for impeding your company’s ability to function? Or, for undermining the management’s credibility with employees and customers?
We’d be looking for another job....regardless of our age.

He has been fired and I can only hope he will not receive his pension, but in our corrupt gov't I'm sure he will. The rest of gov't employees sure as hell do not want to set a precedence, if so very few would receive a pension !!!!!!
