For all "rushers" to judgement on OPP. Of course this post will be aimed at the Christian participants on OPP since truth seems to be what ever the left says truth is on a particular day. But for those who question you (if you proclaim you are a believer) why we do not condemn Trump because of accusations from an upstanding citizen such as Stormy Daniels here's the answer:

White evangelical support for Trump has increased amid Stormy Daniels reports.

Does it say amid, not because of?

Vote for him, defend and excuse his choices of behaviors, obfuscate and deny his culpability, turn a blind eye to any peccadilloes...

As I am given to understand these things, the official watershed moment for demonstrating Christian support for sinful lifestyles is the cake test.

Any polls re the willingness to bake a cake for Mr. Trump?

We know what Orangeman tweets about. We notice that there are some subjects that he does not tweet: lavish spending by cabinet members (Minuchin's air force plane tab; Zinke's exotic doors; EPA's need for private phone booths and first class accommodations; HHS's need for exotic tables); suits by porn star, bunny, and contestant; Cambridge who??? Look over there--a shiny object! Look over there--a fake news story; Look over there--a marvelous wall that will keep us safe (that Mexico will pay for). Look here and help me find that darn leaker.
The MO is clear and doesn't seem to change altho the shiny objects do.
The swamp is not draining--in fact, the water is rising with the presence of the new swamp creatures.

https://www.desiringgod.org/articles/judge-not

I think the article referenced gives a good understanding of judging as Jesus teaches, and is summed up in its last few sentences.
-----
How we judge others says far more about us than how we are judged by others. This is why God will judge us in the manner we judge others, not in the manner they judge us. Therefore, we must judge with right judgment (John 7:24). And right judgment is charitably quick to believe innocence, charitably slow to pronounce guilt, charitably redemptive when it must be, and charitably silent if at all possible.

And when in doubt, “judge not.”
-----
Right judgement can be broken down into two phases: first must be a determination of events, second a determination of consequences.

JFlorio explains that this is why Christians "do not condemn Trump because of accusations from an upstanding citizen such as Stormy Daniels".
But he only addresses this to "all [Christian] 'rushers' to judgement", because he judges "the left" to have a wishy-washy view of truth (apparently assuming there are no Christians among "the left").

One wonders what JFlorio considers a rush, and a judgement of what?
As to the first phase of judgement, a determination of events:
Is it determined that Donald J.Trump has had extramarital affairs? I think that was fairly well established back in the 1990s.

Is it determined that Donald J.Trump had an extramarital affair with Stormy Daniels? Lawyers representing President Trump are working hard to assure we will be "charitably slow to pronounce guilt". If they have their way, Stormy Daniels will never be allowed to give evidence of an extramarital affair with Donald J. Trump. Based on His past behavior one might be inclined to give credence to the likelihood of an affair. Because some judge Stormy Daniels to be unreliable (based on her film career?), they will not be inclined to give credence to the likelihood of an affair.

If, for the moment, we assume Donald J.Trump had an extramarital affair with Stormy Daniels, what should be the consequences?

Some seem to think Christians should stop supporting President Trump, because it would be hypocritical to do otherwise. These people should understand that many voted for candidate Trump, not because He is a saint, but because they thought He would do things that they thought more important than His character.

JFlorio has written that he voted for candidate Trump because he thought a President Trump would protect the unborn better than a President Clinton.
I would suggest that a President Pence would protect the unborn better than President Trump.

I believe we should not rush to judge Trump or anyone else for that matter. I mostly am pointing to the fact the MSM and most on the left automatically believe Daniels. I won’t be surprised either way. I didn’t say there were no Christians on the left. It is obvious that Believers are generally much more conservative.

They do know.

Many believe forgiveness is, instead of a cooperative rehabilitation of mutually/communally broken hearts, a token that lets them get out of jail free, pass go to collect $200, and start off new!

Many, Christian or other, conservative or liberal, know better.

Forgiveness is the closest thing to real magic that I have ever known.

Re reading , I see this might be ambiguous.

My point is, its not that President Trump's issues are ignored or excused. Rather, that the processes of forgiveness and restorative redemption are powerful for the community, longed for and welcomed, sometimes precipitously by peacemakers....

Ideally forgiving hearts join hands with Justice and her scales to meet the miscreant already on the road to cleaning up his mess and making restitution.

We aren't living in an ideal world.

Thankfully (!?!), others of a more paranoid and suspicious, yet noble, nature number among us and stand (unrestrainable, as they kick ass!) at our edges, to kick the asses who take advantage of our forgiving natures too egregiously, should such a thing ever occur.

You misunderstand that as I am pointing one finger towards you, three more point back at me?

A lesson schema to contemplate Karma, I am told.

The tweet is half right. We ALL do those things in secret and feel bad we didn't live up to our ideals.

Yah, JFlo, its after 4:20.

Jelly?
