One of my favorite songs. There is a video on youtube, I think with Johnny Cash " who did a cover of the song" where he explains how he was moved by God to change his life and write this song. Kriss was an Army Captain in Viet-Nam. If I'm not mistaking Kris also wrote, On A Sunday Morning Coming Down, that Cash covered.

Halfway through the explanation and song I found myself crying, in thankfulness and relief.
I am grateful for your post. Thank you.

So great. you found the video. Prop, how could anyone with a heart and believes in our Lord listen to this testimony and not cry. A song asking for redemption.

What a great testimony by a man who's been forgiven much...like I have.

I believe that if people will listen to not only the lyrics but the music in which the testimony is given, would see this is true and straight from the heart. So glad you listened. Tells me more of the person you are. Keep the faith Mike. Stay the Course. We are fighting a winnable War.

KK is one the most prolific song writers of all time. And was that Bobby Bear in the background? (Remember "All American Boy"?) My, my the memories. I once had the pleasure (years ago) of sitting session with both of them. So, thanks for the post.

The battle belongs to the Lord and He doesn't lose.
