No, NOO, NO!

Those are two distinctly different movements. I'll get you a link to the Convention of States if you wish.

I know, I know.

My point is that the two are too easily confused and both trying to get traction at the same time presents possibility of confusion.

They are different.

The Constitution of States is about states' rights and how the states can hold the mega-federal government in check and actually cause reversal of some threats to liberty.

States with less than a million people having two senators while hugely populated states have one per over ten million people? Not in any true democracy, one person one vote, PERIOD. Unfair to low population states, too fucking bad. California needs something like over a hundred representatives to have fair representation. No more presidents winning electoral and losing popular.

Well, you are partly correct. We live in a finely-tuned, ingenious construct called a REPUBLIC.

Only a fool or an illiterate person would wish to life in a true 100% democracy.

An Article V convention of states does not open the constitution to uncontrolled abuse by anyone.

In order for an Article V convention to proceed, 2/3rds of the state legislatures (33 states) must vote for a convention, and, as with any amendment/s proposed by the federal congress, 3/4ths of the state legislatures (38 states) must ratify the amendment/s for them to go into effect.

You can look the numbers on which party controls the state legislatures and governorships of all 50 states. Might surprise you to find out that Republican control far outnumbers that of the dems.

However, the Convention of States will have introduced into their voting members folks who are not ensconced government operatives which gives more input from the grassroots.

Neither 'process' will offer 100% satisfaction to everyone, but that Constitutional Convention is a dead-in-the-water loser for all grassroots constituents. The very people who have effed-up the present system will be re-engineering the entire thing. No way are today's politicians in DC capable of remodeling the instrument which was designed and written by the geniuses we know as 'The Founding Fathers'. No way.

You've got it backwards and upside down, bubba. Americans loyal to our Constitution are well aware of the police state mindset of Marxist socialists. To you the constitution is just a roll of asswipe. You obviously don't have a clue what FEDERALISM is, nor do you understand the brilliance of the American form of government as our founders framed it.

Nope. However those haters of America are far better organized than the opposition, you'll have to grant that.

Anyhow, check out the Convention of States and see what they are really about: http://conventionofstates.nationbuilder.com/solution

Every conservative organization says it's a fix to dupe fools into going for it. Are you in that bag?

What the hell are you getting at?

Is this the first of my participation here you have paid attention to?

Hard to believe.
