A friend of mine has two tickets for the 2018 Super Bowl, both are box seats. He paid $2,500 per ticket, and the package includes transportation to and from the airport, dinner, and a $400 bar tab.

Thing is, he didn’t realize last year when he bought them, it was going to be on the same day as his wedding.
If you’re interested, he’s looking for someone to take his place.

It’s at St Paul’s Church, in Minneapolis, at 3:00 pm.

Her name is Ashley, she’s 5’4″, about 115 lbs, a great cook, loves to fish, hunt and clean.
She’ll be in the white dress.

She'll have to be disappointed again, AuntiE, as The Sgt. Major says I am taken

Quick, go purchase additional insurance on him...with us as beneficiaries.

That's just wrong, young lady. I'm ashamed of you.

You go purchase additional insurance on him...with us as beneficiaries. I'll take it at 80/20 proportions...my favor.

Sounds like a good couple, wish them the best. My angel, now in heaven was 4'11" about the same weight. Excellent cook, loved to fish and took her hunting a few times. She drew the line on cleaning. You kill it, you clean it and I'll cook it. Just said, yes dear. Would take it up on the tickets, but I have boycotted the NFL this year. I'm a die hard Steelers fan since about 1968. Have not watched one single game this year and will not watch the Super Bowl. I understand that as Americans we have the right to protest but this is not the way to do it. I lived through Iraq and Afghanistan to give them that freedom and they are making a mockery of the fine soldiers that we lost. And what has it changed ? When Tomlin dissed the one Vet, three tours, that stood with hand on heart. That done it. Thank God for SEC and Alabama. Because that's all I've had this past year. Sorry Aunti, didn't mean to get on a rant. Love your posts. You always bring sense to this crazy place we have chosen to be a part of.

Here we call them Country Girls. Camp out, knowing no ones going to do anything. Just hang out, drink beer, bullshit. Listen to Marshall Tucker, CCR, Skynard, some Marvin, ELO, Otis, Led and Sabbath. Whatever the girls wanted to listen to. They would go out with us 12, 1 in the morning, in the boats. Check the set lines and go giggin. Knowing that snakes maybe on the limbs over the creek or try to swim into the boat. Bring the Cats and Frogs back to camp. Guys would clean and the girls would cook them. Good times. We respected each other and enjoyed just being able to hang out and be young adults. O, by the way I always told my Mom and Dad where I would be. Didn't have cell phones back then. But would tell them, most time at Pope Tower. I guess I just said to much.

As it is my thread, you are welcome to say as much about your positive times as you wish. People forget how wonderful times with friends were. It is good to bring them up.

Slat, I love Don Williams, so underrated. His voice, lyrics were all about life, love and salvation. We lost that last year, have been listening to his music lately. Kinda got a way from it, glad I'm back. Alan is Alan. He changed Country, took it in another direction. Like Alan, but Don was awesome.
