strange hole in the ground

strange things goin on here
was out walkin this am and came across a big hole in the ground
couldn't see the bottom.so I took a quarter and dropped it in the hole.
never heard a thud or a plop if it hit bottom.
I wondered how deep this hole was ,so i spied an old refrigerator close by and edged it over to the hole and tipped it in
heard it clank against the side a coupla times and then silence
never heard it hit bottom
deciding there was nothing I could do about it ,I went on with my walk.
Then all of a sudden a flying goat whizzed by me
A flying goat??
strange,really strange
walking on I found an old man sitting and crying
I told him about the hole and the flying goat and,
and told him about dropping the fridge in the hole, then asked him what he was crying about
he said
"That was my goat,I had him tied to the refrigerator"

Going by the size of the goat, there was a couple dozen tamales wasted too!
