I am glad you asked. I am the King of worthless trivia. So here goes. You know what a chimpanzee is ? Well I bet you did not know that there is another separate species of chimp. The other species is smaller than the common chimpanzee and was formerly called the pygmy chimp. The two species were separated in Africa by I believe the Congo River. The size and behavior of these two apes has been shaped by evolution into different paths. Common Chimps are very territorial and extremely aggressive, especially the males. Bonobos are smaller and the females have more power than in common chimps. Bonobos are the hippies of the animal kingdom. They even have the longer hair sometimes.

Well Bonobos copulate constantly. Common Chimps are fighters and Bonobos are lovers. It would be interesting if the two groups were ever reunited. I am thinking the hippies would get slaughtered.
