I'm not absolutely sure what you are saying or feeling but the reason I started to participate in these types of discussion, with forums like politico, was to try and move the direction of conversations to more of a cooperative tone so that we all might discover what our problems are and try to find solutions and ways to make things better for all. I'm afraid now that it will never workout that way because there are too many people that are selfish and self serving, another words care for themselves and no one else. There are too many who believe that government should do everything for them and fix everything and give them everything they need to live. if that ever happened it would be really bad for us all. The difference between a democracy and a tyrannical (dictatorship) type of government is basically two things. In a democratic free society, where the people decide and support themselves and others, the government is afraid of the people and with a tyrannical (dictatorship) type of government, where the people think the government is there to do everything for them in order to live, the people are afraid of their government. This is basic and if we cannot agree to this simple definition and work together to keep our form of government a fred democracy then all is lost and we might as well give up and learn to live under a dictatorship. The only way I see any chance for us is to start caring not only for ourselves but for others to. If you see someone who is dying for one reason or another, remove the reason. If they are starving feed them, if they need someplace to temporarily stay to keep warm try and provide it until they can stand on their own. I am old and my resources are very limited but there are many that do have resources enough to care just a little which would be enough. The way I felt when buying food, clothing and gave money to quite a few homeless, it made me feel good and happy. I wish everyone would try it just once. If they did I think they would feel the same things I did. I've said enough and I will close with be happy and God bless.

It appears to me your heart is in the right place. However, your attempt to move the conversations to more of a cooperative tone is like attempting to push a freight train uphill.

You will in time discover, folks that inhabit any forum, only want to express their thoughts and
attitudes, disseminated through there own belief system. And there is nothing wrong with that.

Every one is different, and that too is a good thing. You, may not when the war, but you best pick your fights. Even changing the heart and mind of a single person is a tremendous accomplishment.

I find most people get bogged down in minutiae. And they gravitate towards making a single point.

There is always going to be fools posting in any forum. It then falls to you, to decide if you want to engage them or not.

An ant, can't move a mountain, only one grain of sand at a time.

IF I May be so bold to weigh in here? below is My thought for the day.already agreeing with others comments by the way, especially with all the spin and tripe seen.never been in/on or moderated a board with all the how shall we say ''madness' perhaps?

to be clear money, status and job title do not impress me.
the way human beings treat each other does.(methinks herein lies the problem) but what do I know?

Having a positive mental attitude is asking how something can be done rather than saying it can’t be done.”

One of the very first things I started to work on consciously with my own personal development was to improve my outlook on life.

It was over 10 years ago that I started to delve into this topic and to step by step – and while sometimes tumbling backwards – build a more optimistic outlook.

I feel a lot of the people here have tried to explain their thoughts, but like me, have problems spelling. However they may have common sense. Others on here, not mentioning any names, have no common sense at all.

sadly, that likely is a True Story.unfortunately it would seem far too many go or get coastal(or is it postal lol). no names mentioned.
(they know who they are). as for common sense :like Elvis it left the building and apparently the country long ago.edit: I have seen some down right interesting posts on here BUT not one bit of humor ,even tongue in cheek?something seen on every board I've belonged to and or moderated.
in short it would be nice to see a bright side now and then instead of everyone trying to put the toothpaste back in the tube without the name calling and/or labels(understanding the call it like you see it theorem).opinion's are like birthdays everyone has them.I'm far from spelling everything perfect too but get the message across.
when you are a moderator you learn to read between the lines,I did.BTW a moderator is just a glorified member with perks others don't have.

We are watching the greatest reality show of them all. Dancing with the stars and Survivor doesn't have jack shit on the MSM coverage of the corrupt ass clowns in DC. Many of them do not even fcking remember what they do from day to day because they are eaten up with Alzheimer's.

BUT they remember to pick up their pay checks for working a whole three days a week?if we want to call what they do work ?
highly overpaid for what the circus does not do IMHO. I could go on but elect to try and be civil, heaven knows I've created topics that were and likely are still controversial. I can see by what's been posted nobody is going to even look for a common ground in this melee. I have my reasons for wanting to stay / remain sane in what many are calling
insanity at its finest. I do have a good attachment or as some call meme.this could be the time to use it.

Yes Tactful, there is a big storm brewing and it's going to change the geopolitical landscape, especially here in the U.S. There has been a silent coup in place for decades and now they will start their end game. We will see the 4th turning very soon.

In my opinion Gunney, from an old Dog E7. You have good points and post topics that are of your concern. All I see, as mine, your love of our country. But you are using a shot-gun with 00 buck. Get your rifle and start aiming body mass. My rifle's name was Candy. When I was on gate, convoy, enter and clear, QRF. "Want some Candy ?". Roger That ?

Agreed Gunney. It's not what it used to be and never will be again. It is up to us, true Patriots to push, ask, demand that our elected officials, that we are paying, do what they promised us they would do, if we would vote for them. If anyone with a basic understanding of the Constitution and the three branches of government understands that We The People have let government almost take total control of our lives. If CONGRESS and the JUDICIARY can not come back to the Constitution. Stay within their Constitutional Rights then we, true Patriots need to demand a Convention of States. The alterative is Civil War.
