WASHINGTON — The men in the U.S. military's most dangerous jobs care little about political correctness or gender equality. And they have a message for their political leadership.

When they are fighting in the shadows or bleeding on the battlefield, women have no place on their teams.

In blunt and, at times, profanity-laced answers to a voluntary survey conducted by the Rand Corp., more than 7,600 of America's special operations forces spoke with nearly one voice. Allowing women to serve in Navy SEAL, Army Delta or other commando units could hurt their effectiveness and lower the standards, and it may drive men away from the dangerous posts.

An overwhelming majority of those who agreed to respond to the RAND survey said they believe women don't have the physical strength or mental toughness to do the grueling jobs.

Men could never survive the pain of having a baby, but women do it all the time. You talk about strength, physically and mentally, that is being a mother. Women are far the better sex in so many areas and that used to be known before Patriarchy reared it's very ugly head and became the norm which has ruined our planet.

Sorry but the battlefield isn’t about motherhood. When you can show me a woman who can be shot ( sometimes several times) and still keep fighting maybe than.
Woman don’t belong in combat units. It’s very hard to see your friends blown up, let alone a woman.
One second of hesitation because it’s a woman and it could cost you your life.
The Military also always lowers the bar for woman, ALWAYS.

It might work. First, form an army of women with extreme P.M.S., then
point them towards the enemy and tell them, "They are the ones that
stole all the chocolate."
Nothing would stop them and most likely there would be no survivors
mostly due to the fact that the muslims wouldn't have any chocolate.

What is the difference between a terrorist, and a well trained woman
with P.M.S.?
Terrorists take hostages!

Any posters (on this thread) actually served on a special operations unit and are writing with actual experience? http://static6.businessinsider.com/image/50ec8e3669beddf75200000e-480/special-ops-american.jpg
If not; perhaps you should take a trip out in the weeds and then if you return in one piece, then and only then can you speak with greater authority.

"I weigh 225 pounds, and 280 pounds in full kit, as did most of the members of my ODA (a 12-man Army Green Beret unit)," one respondent said. "I expect every person on my team to be able to drag any member of my team out of a firefight. A 130 pound female could not do it, I don't care how much time she spends in the gym. Do we expect wounded men to bleed out because a female soldier could not drag him to cover?"

Either understand that or stick your head up your arse and believe the fantasy movie about GI Jane.....

Oh, btw. These ladies could not make the cut to lead Marines in the woods. They did not receive any special favors.

Physical strength? Nah. Girls are girls, after all. Mental toughness? Probably. I've known some damn stubborn women.

Carla
women in my opinion are beautiful,
courageous .warm, giving, and certainly can take a lot of pain
but the point the guys in the "weeds"are making
is that women are just not capable physically to hold up in the grueling conditions of hand to hand combat
and therefore are a hindrance instead of an asset

Carlasue, really? Women like to talk about the pain of childbirth, yet a year later they're willing to have another baby. Kick a man in the nuts and a year later ask him if he'd like to do that again and I bet dollars to donuts he'll pass on the offer. Lesson here is childbirth comes in at #2 on the pain scale followed by passing a kidney stone.
