Mn Gov Mark Dayton has appointed progressive baby killer Tina Smith to fill Frankens shoes. She is a former VP of planned parenthood so that should tell you her stance. Way to go Minnesota.

I didn't expect anything different... Minnesota is definitely "Blue Blooded"...

She should get along famously with the brand new Senator that Alabama Republicans just foisted off on the country.

Could this be connected to the shark attack on Franken by his own kind? Franken might have been too much of a clown and not a sufficiently rabid asshat for the Dems.

Maybe they can hide in a corner and swap spit. Thank you Alabama fair-weather Republicans for either staying home, or doing the "write-in cause I just can't vote for a man with all those allegations".

Let's be clear. Jones was not elected by Democrat enthusiasm, but rather Republican apathy. Alabama Republicans are not noted for their enthusiastic turnouts in the first place. This time was an underachievement even for them.
Democrats had an estimated 60 percent or so turnout. Republicans less than 30 and even so it was a squeaker.

You are absolutely right! These fair weather Republicans handed this seat to the liberal, progressive Jones and that's just a sad fact of the matter. I have been voting since 1969, wasn't old enough to vote prior to then but was old enough to get drafted and sent to VN, and it amazes me how many eligible voters in the country sit home drinking beer, watchin election returns and screaming at the tv about who is winning.
Yep, it was a squeaker and if the asshats who did a write-in vote had the brains God gave a goose they would have voted straight Republican ticket and not had to mark their ballot for Moore, thereby easing their conscience and could tell their friends "I didn't vote for Moore".
(Boy, that's about a run-on sentence. LOL!!)
SGM B out.

Jones owes his election to the decent church going people of Alabama. Black Christians went to the polls at a slightly greater number than they did when President Obama last ran. Huge turnout for a special election. A whopping 92% of them supported Jones.

Even if they had 100% there still aren't enough of them without the Alabama Republicans lackluster turnout.

We can only complement Dayton for finding a suitable stand in after the sorrowful end to Frankens fine career..

He did a remarkable job, loved by all good Minnesotans and will be missed for his unflagging effort and work for the voters of Minnesota..

A rumor is that he will be found on the radio show while keeping his writing career active with a number of his ever popular books, which scorch the likes of Limbaugh and Jones and all of the false
accusations of the right. The lying liars that they are..

And 22000 GOP Voters cast write-in votes, which gave Dem Jones the win...
