Correct. Obama is the same age as me. I registered for the draft but was never called. If there was any action either Obama or myself would have seen, it would have been Afghanistan, probably fighting alongside bin Laden, since he was on our side during the Reagan Administration.

No, military experience is not a requirement. It's actually pretty amazing how low the requirements are for candidacy... for ANY elected office.
