Do you think women will do their part to end unwanted male attractions?

I my be opening a Pandora box of conflict with this thread, but what the heck -- Here goes and I have many points to make in order to allow a conclusion by anyone who wants to participate. Note: the topic of this thread has little to do with politics, rather the root causes of the antics being displayed on the news every day of late.

Many news stories and political diatribes are on the topic of man making unwanted advances towards women. The most recent started with the Washington Post attack on Roy More down in Alabama in a purely political move. Now the news stories are expanding onto other men.

Many women are appearing on the national news media demanding their rights and privileges be protected from these mean men. As well they might.

In laying a foundation for this thread I will tell you a little true story about one of my experiences and let's see if you can connect the dots.

Some time ago (as a young and naive man) I was working for Uncle Sam just outside of Washington D.C. Most every morning I would walk in the front door, move quickly over to the coffee counter, greeting many of the girls working the front desks and engage in chit-chat. Then once my coffee was safely in my hands I would move on to my work area in another room. This one morning the girls were chattering about their cosmetic choices in detail and the costs of the better brands. I (being a stupid man) piped up and asked "Why do you girls do all this?" One girl piped up and sent me back on my heels. She said "We do it for you guys of course!"

Can you see where I am going with this

Questions:

1. Unless you are a unnatural, unhinged, queer, can you understand the natural attraction men have to women and women to men. It is a natural triggering device to procreate and populated the earth with more little boys and girls - so they can do the same?

2. Can you understand the mental drive in most men to "conquer" the opposite sex and spread their seed?

3. Is there a natural drive in girls to attract men to their womb so they too can be more fulfilled in life's story? It is true I am not a girl and cannot fully understand their motives and methods so give me a little slack as I try my best.

4. If we are going to demand men stifle their natural desires should we then require women to contribute their share. Things like ending their use of lipstick, mascara, two piece and bikini swimsuits, revealing dresses... etc. etc. etc. to attract the opposite sex.

So, what do you think?

I hear you, but I'm a conservative.
Politics will not be separated from this, too useful a tool!

I notice a change taking place in the cable news media..... Will it last?

Yesterday; Like a mystery the girls on FOX news started appearing in very, very, non-revealing and quite reserved apparel. No more plunging neck lines and exposed cleavage.

Today; A mirror broke and suddenly CNN and later MSNBC trotted out their female talkers in conservative dresses. I was taken back to see that black girl on MSNBC... "Joy?" wrapped in an Indian blanket from the waist up, and covered up like a squaw on a really cold morning.... Boy, did she look weird. Must have been a last minute costume adjustment.

Do you think someone was smart enough to see another example of a double standard?

I really have to wonder what the standard is...I do believe some of these women have suffered sexual harassment and sexual abuse, but I also believe some are jumping on the bandwagon for the most insignificant things. Ashley Judd was on TV a couple months ago creating a stink because some guy at the airport called her "sweetheart".
If this is going to get some of the feminist man haters involved, and they are taken seriously, we're in big trouble!

Thank you KanKune. You got right to the end game I was trying to (in my stumbling way) finish up at. The question being, do we let the feminist guide mankind into the future? Do we dare?

They are doing their best today.... Are they not?

Guys we need to maintain control, the simple solution to the problem
is to use one of their tactics on them!
Cut them off!
It straightened me out a number of times!
Literally too!

Thx Ghost. I think some of these accusations are just BS. A true feminist empowers women. "These so called feminists are just b****** that want to make men into girly boys so they have power over them. They know all they have to do is cry sexual harrasment...oh my God he accidently gave me a boob graze, or called me sweetheart, or God forbid told me I smelled nice and the man is branded as a sexual deviate whether true or not...insignificant or not. I really believe there is something mentally wrong with these women.

Well. Had to get another beer. Go outside, smoke and think about this one. I believe that it's not what the woman does. But more what the man does. I'm the oldest and helped raise three sisters. Have two daughters, two grand-daughters and now a great-granddaughter. I have always voiced my opinion. If I thought any of them had to much make-up on or were dressed what I thought was not suitable, I would tell them. I talk to them about boys, sex and other female issues. Sometimes they, and now with my great-granddaughter come to me before they talk to their Mothers. Because they know that I'm going to tell them straight up without any bullshit what is right and what is wrong. How to present yourself as a person, a lady. My Dear Wife, my Angel, around the house she didn't wear make-up. Even though we were getting older, she was still beautiful. When we would go out, and she got all dressed up. I would be like, DAMN. It's not about what the woman does, its about a man being a man.

I'm sixty-two years old. When I go to stores and go through check outs. If the person is a young female, no matter what race. I always say "thank you dear". If it's an older Lady, no matter what race. I always say "thank you Ma'am". If it's a young man, no matter what race. I always say "thank you young man". If it's an older guy. I always say "thank you sir". I'm giving them respect and they remember me. Point I'm wanting to make is by me saying this, in todays culture and the Liberal mindset, does my being polite make me sexist ?
