Most of Us here on this site & across America find what has been going on & feels that is going on is a topic that runs through almost every post.

The divided issue is deep & contains no real solution.
It is the divide & will stay divided until we can come together on middle ground & see what is behind this division.

In as few words as can be put we are on a course where more & more wealth is in fewer hands.
More & more people are left with living with a smaller share of what this Nation produces.

This Nation which once was the home of a Great Dream of Life, Liberty & The Pursuit of Happiness.
Has now succumbed to be a place that is controlled by the Few for the Few with Liberty & Justice for the Few.

This has come from choices made by the People for their Leaders.
We have been lead by who ever or what ever has lead to the Division we now a part of.

We have been divided by a 2 Party Political system that has worked in to divide us & keep us divided.
The answer does not lay on one side or the other.
The answer is that there are not 2 sides to the issue coming from the Political actions in realty. But from the supporters of the Parties.

WE THE PEOPLE HAVE LET THOSE IN CONTROL USE THE POWER WE HAVE GRANTED THEM TO USE IT FOR THEIR OWN ENDS.

Now the real issue is why we who should have the real power in this issue allow this to continue to happen.

The Election of Trump has not changed & will not change the course we are on.
It has only pointed out the deepness of the mess we are in.

Only the sanity of those of us who occupy what has or was the heart of this Nation (The Middle) to stop pointing out or differences & seek areas of agreement.
Where we are & where we are going will not change until then.

Outstanding Post I can appreciate you’re thoughts and you’re sincerity. We have many question we should ask ourselves and in an attempt to get an answer as to wether you’re goal is to divide or maybe come together.

First Question: When Obama was president did I agree with the Deficit increasing. And what caused the deficit to increase

Second: what will a wall accomplish on the Southern border.

Third is Barrack Obama a Muslim and was he born in Kenya, why did he have a name change and who gave him the nickname Barry.

Fourth what did the Bush Tax cuts do for me personally, did these tax cuts create jobs, did these tax cuts bring manufacturing job back to America.

Why did we invade Iraq and how was ISIS formed.

Why do Muslims around the world actually hate American citizens.

What actually constitutes sexual harassment or sexual misconduct.

Is climate change real

Do we need to create a different gun couture

What was deficit spending under the last 8 presidents.


Do we actually understand what socialism, Capitalism, Marxism really means. And fully understand why the US has a combination of all three.

Does the Democratic Party actually want a total socialistic society.

Does the Republican Party actually want a total capitalistic society.

Do you know the meaning of domocracy. Do you understand how our democracy was created.

Why does the right wing that the left wing is coming to take you’re guns away.

What are the positives of allowing Corporate money into our politics.

Do we actually have voter fraud in this country.

Do you believe the charges against sexual harassment and Pedaphilia on Roy Moore, Al Frakan and Donald Trump.

The Benghazi scandal was it used for polical purposes.


Why were all the embassy attacks over the last 30 years ignored.

We’re the Clintons actually invovled with the murder of 52 people.

Is the Russian scandal real or is it made up scandal because the Democrats lost the election.

Was Trump colluding with Russians then obstructed the Justice Department from doing an investigation.

Why were there 9 members of the Trump campaign meeting with Russians. Did they lie or did they just did not recall.

Instead of listening to right wing and left wing media how many people in this country actually read legislation sponsored by the left or Right legislators.

Is the ACA collapsing

How many people actually read the 2018 Budget and the tax cut plan.

I am not trying to debate this all over again I have posted time and time again of my perceptions on all these issues but 90% of the time all I got was insults. Why the insults that’s what divides. Reasonable debates bring us all together.

For most of my life I was a conservative and I moved towards the middle. I voted for Ronald Reagan the first time I believed in Trickle down economics. When it did not work and all it did was create a deficit due to lost revenue and Reagan stole the money from SS to soften his rising deficit it was disappointing to me. Reagan did create jobs but it had nothing to do with Tax cuts but more of the Fed. Reserve drastically lowering interest rates that stimulated borrowing power for small business.

So where do we start to heal the wounds over the last 30 years. Certainly not debating the above questions because there is no way because to many lies and misinformation have created an ideological divide.

I don't believe that the divide is complicated.
One party has transformed too a party that has a very clear agenda, "transform America into a socialist /Marxist America. This party has grown in numbers as to be common place. That's is the political side. The other element goes beyond political, it is spiritual. God is no longer the power of glory, the God of the land, instead the individual is in their own right God, deciding what standards of morals and ethics should be, thus justifying homosexuality, abortion, speech, tolerance. This party have evolved into one thought and no other thought can be accepted and must then be destroyed.

The other party seeks to Maintain America's foundation, the constitution, Bill of rights and maintain the peoples rights and freedoms. Spiritually they seek God as the God of the land, the highest law, to be worshipped, feared and loved, Lord over the people. To maintain God's morals and ethics.

With this there is no middle ground, and never can be.

Surly there can be one issue that we all can agree on.
All we really need is one to start with.

It is not a Right or Left issue at all It is an issue that needs to be put in the Middle of it all.

That was comprehensive and thought provoking. My major concerns are the apparent destruction of the American culture by the left. That is the values, personal and moral, the Constitution and the history the the country. To what end? To move towards a one world government? To reform the country into a socialist country with totally open borders? When I look at what they are doing I have no idea what their end goal is except that it does not contain any of the things I have always associated with the values and culture of the United States. Everywhere I look they want to destroy things. Statues, monuments, history, and traditions. Remove free speech because it offends. Why? I have no idea where this is leading.

I think you should look closely at what we truly have & just how Gods Morals & Ethnics are displayed in our Political arena.

Your choice shows support from you for those that show the lack of Morals & Ethics.
You lack the depth of understanding as to the problems we face & the steps needed to bring about the changes to save this Nation from it's pending demise.

That said it don't mean I will turn aa deaf ear to what you have to say.

Finding common ground on taxes, or drilling for oil, sure there are areas of common ground, but those areas of common ground do nothing to change the divide.

Trump found common ground with nut case Schumer to pass a bill, the bill was passed.
The divide is based on core beliefs, and those are not negotiable on either side, ergo divide.

First the divide we have has been created by both parties.
Those of us on the right need to reach out to others and be inclusive and get off our high horse of you are wrong and I am right.
Today I am preparing a seven course thanksgiving dinner for my neighbors who are Muslims. We agree on nothing but my way of being inclusive to good people I disagree with on all things regarding their faith. They are good people but just want to them understand Americans are not bad people.
Many there I have never met so it will be "interesting". Iran, Morocco, Brazil and etc.
For many years I worked as a mortician and saw every nationality cross my table during the embalming process. All had the same color of blood.
The divide is one party buying votes for "free stuff" and one party trying to allow all equal opportunity to obtain some dignity with values and hard work.
All politicians tell you what you want to hear and do nothing once in office but concentrate on getting reelected. TERM LIMITS ANYONE?
We have members of congress passing laws on us who are well into the age of 80+ years of age. Been there for 40-50 years. Secret slush funds to pay of sexual assault claims.
The swamp is full of both parties and and why Trump has so much resistance from both sides.
I wish I had a secret sauce to fly over DC and cause all pols to tell the truth for once.
Go to any cemetery, large and small, and you will see many bronze plagues of American soldiers who died in numerous wars. They gave us our liberty and then we allow terrorist groups to flourish on American soil. They use are bill of rights against us to murder, destroy, and create havoc across the country. I don't think freedom of speech extends to these anti American groups.
I would love to see someone like Hannity ask this question.

Roy Moore has been tried and convicted and sentenced without his day in court. Even Charlie Manson has his day in court but jot conservatives seeking higher office. Who is paying Gloria Allred? I am 75 years old and cannot remember hardly anything 40 years ago. With a suitcase of money you can accomplice most anything. Why is the Washington Post seeking information on Roy Moore and all of sudden many people "remember" things he supposed did 40 years ago and after enduring 8 campaigns it was never an issue. The people will do the right thing, remember we are all a basket of deplorable s, but we spoke up and elected Trump. Same will happen in Alabama.

All in all that was a good post. However, I have heard no words from the leaders of the House of Representatives that indicates any of them knew anything about the "slush" fund in the House that is used to "buy" off those who complain about sexual wrongs. People like John Conyers who have had to use that fund knew about it but he is only an old man who has been there longer than Pelosi, Ryan and other leaders who say they didn't know about that fund.

I am 84 but do believe that I could remember a sexual assault on me. I have to wonder why they kept it quiet all this time but am sure I know. Do you remember the days when Herman Cain tried for the Republican nomination and had all these out of the woodpile women used against him? I remember how my son always howled about the Dems and what they did to Cain. I tried my best to help him understand that it was RINOs in the GOP who used that method of chasing old Herman out of the race, but am not sure I got there. Those same RINOs, establishment people, are the ones working the hardest against Moore.

You mentioned what could be accomplished with a suitcase of money and that reminded me of what Carville said years ago about what you could do by dragging a $100 bill through the streets of a trailer park. I guess old supporters of Clinton and Obama like Carvlle know how much money it takes to get some women to play the game with them.

Well you are going to be in for a rude awakening when the path we are on finds you & your idea of core beliefs are shown to not a part of the future you feel you deserve. have.

Well the system that you feel is out there for you is not really there any more.

The only system that can provide for the safety & well being of enough people to survive is one that has a strong & vibrant middle class.

If you have your eyes open it should not be hard to see that there are very few people now who have most of the wealth & power.
They are not inclined to share in it in any real viable way.
Just one piece of the tax reform that Trump has in mind will end all hope of the middle class.
It is the elimination of Inheritance Taxes. That means the Wealth & Power that goes with it will just keep growing with in those Heirs.

When has the average person in this NATION ever really gained for the price they paid?

There are more restless unhappy people in the America & the World Wanting want you & those with the power & wealth want you & I to protect them self & as usual will keep all the gains for them self.

Now I may be blind & delusional as per you but I did serve my Nation in the military to the best of my ability.

Now with the hornets nest of unrest has been stirred up even more & in my final years am faced with the ravages of things that happened in my youth & face a conflict as bad or even worse. This time it will be in our back yard.

Well there is not much else I can say to you. If you are one of the Few you will be a bigger target than me.

I am 80 years old & only looking for a quite corner to have a bit of peace & quiet & die in my sleep. Not from Nuclear fall out.

Maybe after all is said & done we will have a chance to Agree on how to put it all back together.
