Wouldn't work.
Their salary and official duties in and of themselves necessarily carve them a niche.
They would write anything into their job description necessary to protect themselves.
There is no substitute for an informed electorate.
But I applaud the sentiment.

This means that they should get the same healthcare they make us have. We must sign up during a short time at the end of the year. The insurance companies are allowed to make changes to the policies after the 1st of the year! No doctors want to take a patient with Obamacare so people suffer while they try to find a doctor to take them.

Let Congress choose whatever healthcare they want, let us chose whatever healthcare we want. Shopping for a policy across all 50 state lines is now legal with the passage of the Association Health Plan Act that President Trump just signed into law.
We do not live in a "one sum pie" to be carved up between us. Bake more pies.

Something like this would never be approved by Congress (although it's a great idea). Most people in Congress would eat their young to keep their benefits!

You neglected to mention the special subsidy that they get from the taxpayers so that they can afford Obamacare on their meager wages that put them in the top 1% of the wealthiest Americans.

Incorrect, federal employees that are staff were told to enroll.. Bo then turned around and gave them salary increases to offset premium but Congress and Senators did not have to buy into BoCare..
