When the other party it is bad. When it's your own party it's good. Or didn't you know that...

He tried to do something about it but every time he tried to raise taxes you putzes stopped him. It seems keeping the wealthy flush in cash more important than keeping our country out of debt and still is...

Some things to consider, albeit it’s not the best plan but workable.. I would have rather gone flat rate, period for everyone, consideration afforded to the main stay of America, Corporations based on number of people they employ and insure.. Other than that, tariff trade would take care of their bottom line, not gauging consumers but that will never happen..etc..

Increased Deductions and Tax Credits for Children, New Tax Credit for Non-Child Dependents:

Consolidation of Tax Brackets, Simpler Overall System: Assuming the progressivity remains (and this has been promised), which helps address the income distribution issue, simpler can’t be a bad thing. The overall economic impact may be close to nil, but there will be fewer short tempers around tax time. Maybe lowering blood pressure raises GDP?

Revised Tax Rate Structure for Small Business: Let me open here with a warning: generally speaking, tax cuts don’t cause businesses to hire

Elimination of State Income Tax Deduction: I’m going to include this here because, while this is clearly a negative when compared to the first item above, early reports suggest that its biggest impact will be on a wealthy minority....

I agree but it would cause the rich to pay more so you know it will never fly.

Tax cuts are fine. We need spending cuts to go with them. Reagan's tax cuts did not result in lost revenue at the end of his second term. This was because of growth.

We did not get much growth during the Obama years. I wonder why. We got huge deficits during the soak the rich Obama years. I wonder why.
