I understand you have skin in the game but I have to vote against you on this at this time. If it turns out he's actually guilty of a crime, I'll be the first one to want his head on a pike. Until then I sort of resent you for jumping to conclusions without all of the evidence being presented. Mike

If Gloria Allred is involved, you can bet it is a political hit job.

A side point: the age of consent for girls in Alabama is 16. If he was 104 and she was 16, there is still nothing illegal about it. 14, if it is true, is a different matter. Keep in mind also, Jerry Lee Lewis had a 13 year old wife. It may not make sense to most of us but it does demonstrate that under 16 can have a consensual, if not always legal, relationship.

If we lose in 2018 it won't be because of Judge Moore but because of do nothing Republicans. I'm wiling to wait for the trial before condemning the Judge. This whole thing smells like a set-up to me. Mike

You are exactly right! The whole thing is the typical Alinsky plan: demonize the opponent! That’s all that the Dems have. The same thing happened to Cain but he pulled out; Moore should not. Sadly, Rinos want him out but they are the ones who need to be out!

IF the allegations are substantiated, Judge Moore can easily be replaced.

However, IF not, the system of corruption has won again! Why has Mr McConnell and a few others contested the race? I think, Judge Moore may prove to be more than a handful of trouble for some.

Judge Moore may challenge 'business as usual' with threats of exposure to the back room deals.
If you are corrupt, the last thing you want, is a honest man monitoring and reporting on your movements.

IF you are happy the way the country is heading, I'd listen to the Waste Stream Media and the Mitch McConnells, and continue in the same direction. GOP and the Progressives will serve your needs.

Even if Roy Moore did not do wrong as he claimed, I think, he still must resign for the sake of the GOP party, and for the sake of the American people. I think his entry to the senate is to big burden to carry. Please, presumption of innocence is a must, but I still think Judge Moore must quit. It is for the good of all of us, and especially the GOP party.

His resignation will serve the greater good, not himself.

I think the Roy Moore thing is about accountability. In America we are supposed to be innocent until proven guilty. This situation smacks me as just like the way they snuck metal detectors into airports; that is, under the guise of safety they chipped away at our liberties.

I say the solution is enhanced accountability. Let Roy Moore’s election process proceed. Meanwhile, try the case in a court of law (if there is an actual law that was infracted). Whoever is guilty should be held to quadruple the consequences. If the accusers are found guilty of falsely accusing Roy Moore, then they should pay quadruple reparations, including whatever defamation of character resulted in his losing votes or even the governorship. Same with Roy Moore, if he is found “guilty” of having some kind of sexual encounters with a fourteen year old, then he should serve 4 times the time and monetary penalties and, if he gets elected in the process, be removed from office.

It doesn’t take a king Solomon to have a little sense. But the last thing we should do, as constitutionalists, is to consider sacrificing first of all the basic principles on which our constitution was founded: accountability of our leaders, responsibility for our actions, innocent until proven guilty, with justice and liberty for all.

So every time the Democrats come up with a bullshit story about a conservative the conservative should step aside so RINO's can win in 2018? Just how much do you think Trump will accomplish when he has to depend on assholes like Mitch McConnell, Paul Ryan and Lindsey Gramnesty? Not one of these women has offered a single shred of proof of their accusations. One has a history of making these accusations, (at least three other men, all clergymen, accused of the same thing and just as unproven;) One is a former employee of both Hillary and Joe Biden and a current volunteer for Moore's opponent; whose memory did not return until her boss was losing badly in the polls a month before the election.
The fourteen year old was more like 17 at the time even in the unlikely event that this incident actually occurred.
You actually believe the way to win is to fold every time some Democrat liar makes a false accusation with no proof, wit timing so convenient?
What happens when the next conservative is accused of some forty year old crap that never happened?

proud, Why would you believe the women that accuse Moore of sexual predation, and not believe the women that accused Trump of the same thing? The Donald even admitted his sexual crimes, just as he asked Wikileaks to get Hillary. The conservatives are supposed to be law and order freaks except for their political leaders.

Can I be perfectly honest here? Neither party is law and order freaks. All of Washington is a cesspool of corruption, and crime. Politics stinks to high heaven, and something needs to be done. Only question is, what? There is too much division down party lines, in non politicians. People on opposite sides could never sit down for a dialogue, as just look at the constant name calling here. I for one, am sick and tired of turning my television on daily, and see this guy raped her, and that guy shot him, etc etc. This country is going to hell in a handbasket. I could go on and on, but I won't. I have ranted on long enough. Something needs to be done. I'm open to ideas. Thank you.

I now side with his accusers but it is amusing to hear what is being proposed. Republicans are now considering refusing to seat him if he is elected on ethical grounds. That would be a first and this from a group that did nothing to Ted Kennedy after Chappaquiddick.

Strongly disagree!! Until we somehow get away from the "he said, she said" crap, IMO Moore should stick it out. Only he knows if it's true or not. If he knows it's BS, I don't think he has much choice. He's got to stay in the race come hell or high water! In truth, he's boxed in. Bastardus non carborundum!!

I would give all parties including the Post reporters who coached the alleged 14 year old, lie detector tests by an impartial party. The woman on TV the other day was reading from a script and looked fake to me. As I said before, if he did as accused, lock him up and throw away the key. BUT, make damn sure he is guilty before condemning and sentencing him. Mike
