Never had a VW Beetle, but I sure at times wanted one.

I once saw a guy jump over one, the long way. Pretty impressive.

I had four which I ran into the ground because of my long distance commute. They sure developed my defensive driving skills. I can't count how many times I ran into a ditch or off the road entirely, to avoid collisions. There wasn't enough metal in the VW for me to be anything but a bug on a windshield in a crash. Fun car to drive.

My first car was a vw. I wanted a pickup but dad was firm. It was one of those auto stick shift type. Three transmissions later, I gave it away, piece of crap or crooked mechanic, I don't know. Never even considered owning another one.

Not sure. I was about 16-17, back then I was having a six pack for breakfast and lunch, so anywhere from 6 to 12. 👍 It was during the summer, we were going swimming at Houton’s Pond in Milton. It was a group of kids from some basketball team. The kid who did it was probably 6’6” - 6’7” could jump like a jackrabbit, good ball player too. Think he ended up going to Kansas, lost track of him....
